Bon crochet!

Could you clarify round 3 of the granny square? Here is what I understand, but am not sure it's correct: Ch 4 to right of join, insert hook into join, ch 3, ch 4, in next corner: dc ch1 dc ch3 dc ch1 dc Is that correct? Thank you for your help!

Dear Amy, this is worked all on the same side. The second round ended with 2dc and 1 slip stitch in the 3rd chain at the beginning of the round. Work 1 slip stitch over the next chain, ch3, ch4 and, in the ch-3 space in the corner, work: 1dc, ch1, 1dc,ch3, 1dc, ch1, 1dc. Continue with ch4, 1dc in the next ch-1 space, ch4 and work the next corner. Happy crochetting!
