Ma ei saanud aru kuidas tuleb kahandada käeauku?

Tere Karine!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked in the round): 1 ridge in height = 2 rounds; Knit 1 round and purl 1 round. RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge in height = Knit 2 rows. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.3. The diagrams show all rows in the pattern from the right side. DECREASE TIP (for armholes): All decreases are worked from the right side! Decrease on the inside of the 4 stitches on the armholes - these 4 stitches are worked from the edge as follows: 2 edge stitches in garter stitch and then 2 stitches in stocking stitch. DECREASE AFTER 4 EDGE STITCHES: Purl 2 together. DECREASE BEFORE 4 EDGE STITCHES: Work until there are 2 stitches left before the 4 stitches and purl 2 twisted together. CASTING-OFF TIP: To avoid the cast-off edge being tight you can cast off with a larger size needle. If the edge is still tight, make 1 yarn over after approx. each 4th stitch at the same time as casting off; the yarn overs are cast off as normal stitches. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- TOP – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The body is worked bottom up in the round, with circular needle, as far as the armholes. Rib with cables and a leaf-pattern are worked on the front piece and rib is worked on the back piece. After casting off for the armholes, the front and back pieces are finished separately, back and forth on the needle. The shoulder seams are sewn and the double neck is worked to finish. BODY: Cast on 178-202-226-250-274-298 stitches with circular needle size 4 mm and Muskat. Knit 1 round, then work the next round as follows: Knit 1, work A.1 over the next 30-36-42-48-54-60 stitches (= 5-6-7-8-9-10 repeats of 6 stitches), A.2 (= 32 stitches), work A.3 until there is 1 stitch left on the round (= 19-22-25-28-31-34 repeats of 6 stitches) and knit 1. Insert 1 marker thread at the beginning of the round and 1 marker thread after 94-106-118-130-142-154 stitches (the threads sit between 2 knitted stitches on each side of the body and there are 84-96-108-120-132-144 stitches left on the round after the second thread). Allow the threads to follow your work onwards – they are used when shaping the armholes. Continue the pattern described above. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Work until the piece measures 29-30-31-32-33-34 cm but adjust so the next round is an odd round in A.2 (this is important to avoid cabling from the wrong side when the front piece is worked back and forth later). On the next round work 2 RIDGES – read description above, over the 10 stitches in each side (i.e. 5 stitches in garter stitch on either side of both marker threads) – the other stitches are continued as before. On the next round, cast off for the armholes as follows: Cast off 3 stitches, work as before over the next 88-100-112-124-136-148 stitches, cast off 6 stitches (3 stitches on each side of the marker thread), work as before over the next 78-90-102-114-126-138 stitches and cast off the last 3 stitches. Cut the strand. The front and back pieces are finished separately. FRONT PIECE: = 88-100-112-124-136-148 stitches. Start from the wrong side and continue the pattern back and forth as before, with 2 edge stitches in GARTER STITCH – read description above, on each side towards the armholes. AT THE SAME TIME, on the next row from the right side, decrease 1 stitch on each side – read DECREASE TIP! Decrease like this every 2nd row (i.e. each row from the right side) a total of 4-12-12-22-20-30 times, then every 4th row (i.e. each 2nd row from the right side) a total of 8-6-6-2-4-0 times. AT THE SAME TIME when the piece measures approx. 41-42-44-45-47-48 cm start working the neck – adjust so the first row is an odd row in A.2 but not a row with cabling and, if the neck looks like it will begin in the middle of a leaf, do not start the leaf before starting the neck (i.e. purl this stitch from the right side/knit from the wrong side). On the first row (right side) place the middle 20-20-22-22-24-24 stitches on 1 thread for the neck and each shoulder is finished separately. Continue working as before over the shoulder-stitches, decrease for the armhole from the right side and cast off for the neck at the beginning of each row from the neck as follows: Cast off 3 stitches 1 time, 2 stitches 2 times and 1 stitch 2 times. After all the decreases for the armhole and neck there are 13-13-18-18-23-23 stitches left. Continue working until there is 1 row left before the piece measures 48-50-52-54-56-58 cm. Knit 1 row from the wrong side. Cast off with knit from the right side. Work the other shoulder in the same way. BACK PIECE: = 78-90-102-114-126-138 stitches. stitches. Start from the wrong side and continue the pattern back and forth as before, with 2 edge stitches in garter stitch on each side towards the armholes. AT THE SAME TIME, on the next row from the right side, decrease 1 stitch on each side for the armholes. Decrease like this every 2nd row a total of 0-2-0-12-10-20 times, then every 4th row a total of 0-11-13-7-9-5 times and every 6th row a total of 7-0-0-0-0-0 times. AT THE SAME TIME when the piece measures approx. 46-48-50-52-54-56 cm cast off the middle 34-34-36-36-38-38 stitches for the neck and each shoulder is finished separately. Continue working as before over the shoulder-stitches, decrease for the armhole from the right side (if still necessary) and cast off 2 stitches at the beginning of the next row from the neck. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams inside the cast-off edge. NECK: Knit up from the right side 96 to 112 stitches around the neck (including the stitches on the thread in front) with short circular needle size 4 mm and Muskat. The number of stitches must be divisible by 4. Work rib in the round (knit 2, purl 2), adjusting to make sure the stitches match the stitches in A.2 in front. When the neck measures 18-18-18-20-20-20 cm – or desired length, cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl – read CASTING-OFF TIP. Fold the neck double to the wrong side and sew down, with small, loose stitches. |
