Hej! Jag får ihop diagrammen i 190-34 rent "maskantalsmässigt", men jag förstår inte hur jag får en "sned" kant... Det står ingenting om ökning/minskning i början eller slutet av varven. Tacksam för hjälp!

Dear Marilyn, when working A.2, starting with A.2A, repeat A.2B as many times as stated and finish the row with A.2C. In the row from the back, work A.2C over A.2C, A.2B over A.2B and A.2A over A.2A. Happy knitting!

I have spent 4 hours trying to write out the stitches based on the graphs and I am not being successful. has the Lace portion of the pattern been written out as actual stitch pattern anywhere? I've already invested alot of time into one glove and do not want to have to rip out and find another pattern.

Dear Susan, there is only diagrams to the lace pattern, but you will find how to read diagrams here, this should help you. Happy knitting!

I know how to read charts (in Poruguese and English), and I usually translate them into words and write them down. But this one is making me dizzy... I keep working on it. BTW when you say "continue until A2 is completed" which A2 you mean? Thank you. I have done many beautiful work inspired on your tutorials.
01.11.2019 - 21:09DROPS Design answered:
Dear Zana, all diagrams A.2 are 12 rows, ie when these 12 rows have been worked = 1 repeat in height. Happy knitting!

This beautiful project seems simple to make, until one tries to put the charts together. It involves a great deal of reversal thinking which most brains are not trained for. It would be helpful to have along with the charts, a written instructions, so the reader would have a choice. Thank you.
27.10.2019 - 16:51DROPS Design answered:
Dear Zana, thank you for your thoughts. We think charts are easier, because they not only show what will be the very next step, but also how rows and stitches above each other relates. We also believe that it is well worth to learn how to read charts (for which we have a lesson on our website). Happy Crafting!

Bon tricot!

Knitted wrist warmers with garter stitch and lace pattern, worked diagonally. The piece is worked in DROPS BabyMerino.
DROPS 190-34 |
||||||||||||||||||||||
INFORMATION FOR THE PATTERN: RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (worked back and forth): 1 ridge = Knit 2 rows. INCREASE TIP: Increase 1 stitch by first knitting 1 stitch and then knitting 1 stitch twisted in the same stitch. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. The diagrams show all the rows in the pattern seen from the right side. ---------------------------------------------------------- WRIST WARMER: The piece is worked back and forth on the needle. First work a corner in garter stitch as described below, then work lace pattern before the other corner is worked in garter stitch. By increasing on the one side of the piece and decreasing on the other, the pattern will be diagonal. CORNER IN GARTER STITCH: Cast on 3 stitches with needle size 3 mm and BabyMerino and work as follows: ROW 1 (= wrong side): Knit. ROW 2 (= right side): Work 2 stitches in the first stitch – read INCREASE TIP, knit1 and then work 2 stitches in the last stitch = 5 stitches. ROW 3 (= wrong side): Knit. ROW 4 (= right side): Work 2 stitches in the first stitch, knit until there is 1 stitch left on the row, work 2 stitches in the last stitch = 7 stitches. ROW 5 (= wrong side): Knit. Repeat rows 4 and 5 until you have increased a total of 29 times on each side = 61 stitches on the needle. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! The piece now measures approx. 18 cm along each of the short sides. Now work lace pattern as described above. LACE PATTERN The first row is worked as follows from the right side: Work A.1A (= 7 stitches), work A.1B over the next 36 stitches (= 3 repeats of 12 stitches) and finish with A.1C (= 18 stitches). Work back as shown in the diagram. The next row is worked as follows from the right side: Work A.2A (= 8 stitches), work A.2B over the next 36 stitches (= 3 repeats of 12 stitches) and finish with A.2C (= 17 stitches). Continue the pattern like this until A.2 has been completed. Then work the other corner as described below. CORNER IN GARTER STITCH: ROW 1 (= right side): Knit 1, knit 2 twisted together, knit until there are 3 stitches left on the row, knit 2 together and finish with knit 1 = 59 stitches. ROW 2 (= wrong side): Knit. Repeat rows 1 and 2 until there are 3 stitches left on the needle, then cast off with knit from the right side. The piece measures approx. 22 cm along the longest side. ASSEMBLY: Sew the piece together, longest side to longest side – sew in the outermost loop of the outermost stitch so that the seam is flat – make sure the seam is not tight. Work one more wrist warmer in the same way. |
