PATTERN: See diagram M.1 to M.3 – diagrams show pattern from RS. 1st row = WS. -------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------- FRONT PIECE: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 56-62-68-74-80-92 sts (incl 1 edge st in each side) on needle size 7 mm with Snow. K 2 rows. Then work rib = K 3/P 3 with 1 edge st in each side. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 14 cm, K 1 row from RS while at the same time dec 2-4-6-8-6-10 sts evenly = 54-58-62-66-74-82 sts. Switch to needle size 8 mm. K 1 row from WS and K 1 row from RS. Continue with diagram M.1 with 1 edge st in each side. When piece measures approx. 45-46-47-48-49-50 cm (adjust after 1 whole repetition), work diagram M.2, then work diagram M.3 until finished measurements. When piece measures 59-60-61-62-63-64 cm, cast off 1-1-2-2-3-3 sts at beg of the next 2 rows for armholes = 52-56-58-62-68-76 sts on needle. Work pattern as before until piece measures 71-73-75-77-79-81 cm. Now slip the middle 12-12-12-14-14-14 sts on a stitch holder for neck and finish each shoulder separately. Then cast off at beg of every row from neck: 1 st 3 times = 17-19-20-21-24-28 sts remain on shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 78-80-82-84-86-88 cm. BACK PIECE: Cast on and work as front piece but do not cast off for neck. When piece measures 76-78-80-82-84-86 cm, cast off the middle 18-18-18-20-20-20 sts for neck. Work 2 rows over the 17-19-20-21-24-28 sts on each shoulder, cast off. SLEEVE: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 32-32-32-32-38-38 sts (incl 1 edge st in each side) on needle size 7 mm with Snow. K 2 rows (1st row = WS). Then work rib = K 3/P 3 with 1 edge st in each side. When piece measures approx. 12 cm, adjust so that next row is worked from RS, K 3 rows. Switch to needle size 8 mm and continue with diagram M.3 with 1 edge st in each side. At the same time when piece measures 18 cm, inc 1 st in each side by working 2 sts in next to last st. Repeat inc every 6-5-4-3½-4-3 cm a total of 5-6-7-8-6-7 times = 42-44-46-48-50-52 sts – work the inc sts in diagram M.3. When piece measures 47-46-46-45-42-39 cm (shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of longer sleeve cap and broader shoulder width), cast off 2 sts at beg of the next 6 rows (i.e. 3 dec in each side) = 30-32-34-36-38-40 sts. On next row, cast off the remaining sts ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams. NECK: Knit up approx. 46 to 52 sts around the neck on circular needle size 7 mm with Snow. P 1 round, then K 1 round while at the same time inc evenly to 60-60-66-66-72-72 sts. Continue with rib = K 3/P 3. When neck measures 12 cm, inc all K 3 to K 4 = 70-70-77-77-84-84 sts. Continue with K 4/P 3 until neck measures a total of 24 cm. P 1 round and K 1 round. Cast off with P sts. Fold the neck double towards RS. Sew in sleeves and sew under arm and side seams in one, inside 1 edge st. |
