GARTER ST (in the round): K 1 round, P 1 round. PATTERN: See diagram M.1. Diagram shows the pattern from RS. --------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER: Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 200-220-240-260-280-300 sts on circular needle size 5 mm with 1 thread of each colour (= 2 threads). Work 8 rounds GARTER ST – see above and continue as follows: P 7-8-9-10-11-12, * K6, P 14-16-18-20-22-24 *, repeat from *-* a total of 9 times, finish with K6 and P 7-8-9-10-11-12. Insert 2 markers in piece, 1 at beg of round and 1 after 100-110-120-130-140-150 sts = the sides. Continue in pattern like this, AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 10 cm dec 1 st in each P-section, and repeat the dec on every 12-12-12-13-13-13 cm a total of 4 times = 160-180-200-220-240-260 sts. Dec on the right and left side of P-section alternately by P2 tog. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 40 cm continue in M.1 on all K6 with P sts as before. When piece measures 50-51-52-53-54-55 cm cast off 6 sts each side for armhole (i.e. 3 sts on each side of marker) = 148-168-188-208-228-248 sts. Put piece aside and knit the sleeves. SLEEVE: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 44-48-52-56-60-64 sts on double pointed needles size 5 mm with 1 thread of each colour. Work 8 rounds garter st. Insert a marker at beg of round. Work next round as follows: P3, * K6, P10-12-14-16-18-20 *, repeat from *-* a total of 2 times and finish with K6 and P3. Continue like this, AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 8 cm inc 1 st on each side of marker, and repeat the inc on every 4.5-4-3.5-3-2.5-2 cm a total of 8-9-10-11-12-13 times, P inc sts = 60-66-72-78-84-90 sts. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 33-32-31-30-29-28 cm work M.1 on all K6 with P sts as before. When piece measures 43 cm cast off 6 sts mid under sleeve (= 3 sts on each side of marker) = 54-60-66-72-78-84 sts. Put piece aside and knit the other sleeve. YOKE: slip sleeves on the same circular needle as body piece where cast off for armholes = 256-288-320-352-384-416 sts. Continue in pattern as before, AT THE SAME TIME dec 1 st in each P-section (= 16 dec per round). Dec on the right and left side of P-section alternately by P2 tog, as follows: Size S: on every 6th round 3 times, then on every 5th round 6 times. Size M: on every 5th round 7 times, then on every 4th round 4 times. Size L: on every 4th round 13 times. Size XL: on every 4th round 10 times, then on every 3rd round 5 times. Size XXL: on every 4th round 5 times, then on every 3rd round 12 times. Size XXXL: on every 3rd round 19 times. When all dec are complete there are 112 sts left on round. On next round K tog the first 2 sts on each cable = 96 sts. Now continue in rib K2/P4 – make sure to have K2 over the 2 K sts on each cable. Cast off with K over K and P over P when rib measures 3 cm. ASSEMBLY: Sew openings under sleeves. |
