Garter st, back and forth on needle: K all rows Front bands: = 8 sts towards mid front. Work these as follows, as seen from RS on left front piece: K2, 6 garter sts. Buttonholes: Dec for buttonholes on right front band. 1 buttonhole = cast off 3rd st from mid front and cast on 1 new st on return row. Cast off for buttonholes when piece measures: Size S: 32, 38, 45, 52 and 58 cm. Size M: 33, 40, 47, 54 and 60 cm. Size L: 33, 41, 48, 55 and 62 cm. Size XL: 34, 41, 49, 57 and 64 cm. Size XXL: 34, 42, 50, 58 and 66 cm. Size XXXL: 35, 41, 48, 55, 62 and 68 cm. Decreasing tip: Dec 1 st in each P-section by P2 tog, on the right and the left side alternately, i.e. the first and the last 2 sts alternately. Back piece: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 94-100-108-116-126-136 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on circular needle size 5 mm with 1 thread of each quality. P 1 row from WS, K 1 row from RS, K 1 row from WS and now work 4 rows garter st – see above. Continue in reverse stocking st. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 7-8-8-9-9-10 cm dec 1 st each side and repeat the dec on every 2 cm a total of 12 times = 70-76-84-92-102-112 sts. Continue in reverse stocking st until piece measures 31-32-32-33-33-34 cm. Now K 1 row from WS, at the same time inc 4-10-2-6-8-10 sts evenly = 74-86-86-98-110-122 sts. On next row (from RS) work rib as follows: 1 edge st, P5, K2, * P10, K2 *, repeat from *-* until 6 sts remain on row, P5 and 1 edge st. Continue like this until piece measures 41-42-43-44-45-46 cm. Now cast off 6 sts each side for armhole = 62-74-74-86-98-110 sts left on row. Put piece aside. Left front piece: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 53-56-60-64-70-74 sts (includes 1 edge st at side and 8 front band sts towards mid front) on circular needle size 5 mm with 1 thread of each quality. P 1 row from WS, K 1 row from RS, K 1 row from WS and now work 4 rows garter st. Continue in reverse stocking st with 8 front band sts – see explanation above – towards mid front. When piece measures 7-8-8-9-9-10 cm dec at side as described for back piece = 41-44-48-52-58-62 sts. Continue in reverse stocking st until piece measures 31-32-32-33-33-34 cm. K 1 row from WS, at the same time inc 9-6-2-10-4-12 sts evenly = 50-50-50-62-62-74 sts. On next row (from RS) work rib as follows: 1 edge st, P5, * K2, P10 *, repeat from *-* until 8 front band sts remain and work these as before. Continue like this until piece measures 41-42-43-44-45-46 cm. Now cast off 6 sts at side for armhole = 44-44-44-56-56-68 sts left on row. Put piece aside. Right front piece: Like left front piece, but mirrored. Remember buttonholes – see above. Sleeve: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 47-52-52-52-52-57 sts (includes 1 edge st each side) on needle size 5 mm with 1 thread of each quality. P 1 row from WS and continue in rib as follows: 1 edge st, * K2, P3 *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 edge st. When rib measures 8 cm K 1 row from WS, at the same time dec 5-8-8-6-6-9 sts evenly = 42-44-44-46-46-48 sts. Now continue in reverse stocking st. When piece measures 9 cm inc 1 st each side on every 4-5-2.5-2.5-2.5-2 cm a total of 8-7-13-12-12-17 times = 58-58-70-70-70-82 sts. When piece measures 43 cm cast off 6 sts each side for armhole = 46-46-58-58-58-70 sts left on row. Put piece aside and knit the other sleeve. Yoke: Slip all sts in on the same circular needle with sleeves in between back and front pieces where cast off for armholes = 242-254-278-314-326-386 sts. Continue back and forth on all sts in rib as before with 8 front band sts each side towards mid front. Work 2 rows. On next row beg dec for raglan as follows: dec 1 st in each P-section (= 19-20-22-25-26-31 P-sections) – see Decreasing tip – on every 8th row 5-5-5-6-6-7 times, then on every 4th row 1-2-3-1-2-0 times, and then on every other row 2-1-0-1-0-2 times = 90-94-102-114-118-138 sts. K 1 row from WS and K 1 row from RS, at the same time dec 5-9-14-26-26-42 sts evenly = 85-85-88-88-92-96 sts. K 2 rows, P 1 row from WS and cast off loosely. Piece measures approx 60-62-64-66-68-70 cm. Assembly: Sew sleeve and side seams inside 1 edge st. Sew openings under arms. Sew on buttons. |
