I am unable to select a category because the category form below is not on the screen. I would like to make the throw named Winter Crystal. I would like to use cotton yarn and increase the size to 60" x 68". Can tell me how much yarn ( in ounces ) I would need? Thank you.

Dear Mrs Murrell, we are unfortunately not able to adjust every pattern to every single request, however, you can read more about alternative yarns here. Happy crocheting!

What border stitch did you use to finish this? Also, this does not look like the squares were joined using the same method as the video.

Dear Carol, the edge around the whole blanket is worked in diagram A.2 - squares are sewn tog to a blanket, feel free to put the squares tog as you rather like. Happy crocheting!

Love the lace-light weight, yet structured pattern! Enough challenge for a beginner and possibility to versatile creativity for a master. Hopefully we get the pattern.

CROCHET INFO: Replace first tr at beg of every tr round with 3 ch. Finish round with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round. Replace first dc at beg of every dc round with 1 ch. Finish round with 1 sl st in 1st ch at beg of round. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. WORK 3 TR TOG (around ch-space): Work 1 tr around ch but wait with last pull through, work 1 tr around same ch, but wait the last pull through, work last tr around same ch but now pull last YO through all 4 sts on hook ---------------------------------------------------------- BLANKET: Beg with hook size 8 mm and Snow or Wish and work pattern according to diagram A.1. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! When entire diagram has been worked, crochet square measures 24 x 24 cm. Work 11-19 more squares in total = 12-20 squares. ASSEMBLY: Sew blanket tog with 3-4 squares in width and 4-5 squares in length. Sew one and one length tog with Snow - sew in outer loop of edge sts, first along then across. EDGE: Work an edge around the entire blanket. Beg in one corner on blanket and work from 2nd round in diagram as follows - READ CROCHET INFO. NOTE: 1st round shows the last round worked in A.1. * Work A.2a around ch-space in the corner, work A.2b until next corner but in transition between each of the squares work as shown in A.2c *, repeat from *-* around the entire blanket and finish with 1 sl st in 1st dc at beg of round. Work the last round in A.2a-A.2c the same way. Fasten off. |
