On row one I have 8 groups of 6 double crochet =48 how do I get one more
18.07.2015 - 00:42DROPS Design answered:
Dear Nell, on row 1 you start with 1 dc in 2nd ch (= 1st dc) + 8 "groups" of 6 dc (= 48), = 1+48= 49 dc. Happy crocheting!

I am making this using the smallest size. After completing my first row I have 49 sc as required. I then crochet from the arrow following A for the first 4 sts and leaving 5 at the end for C. However this means I only repeat B 5 times as 5 x 8 =40 then 40 + 4+ 5= 49. The pattern states there should be 6 repetitions. Is this an error or am I doing something wrong?
21.06.2015 - 18:26DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Rowe, work first row in A.1 as follows: 1 time A.1a (= over the first 4 sts), repeat A.1b (= 8 sts) a total of 5 times (= over the next 40 sts) and finish with A.1c (= 5 sts) over the last 5 sts = 49 sts. You will have a total of 6 times (1 dc, ch3, 1 dc in same st). Happy crocheting!

I cant read a chart and i bought the yarn on this web site can anyone read and translate the chart part of this pattern thanks in advance regina
02.06.2015 - 06:07DROPS Design answered:
Dear Regina, in the diagram 1 st is represented by 1 symbol - see diagram text, start at the very bottom corner on the right side and read towards the left from RS (work 1 time a = 4 sts, then repeat the 8 sts in b and finish with the 5 sts in c) - from WS, read from the left towards the right (only applies to A.1, A.2 is worked in the round and is read every round from the right to the left). Happy crocheting!

Hoi Jantina. Ik heb helaas niet de mogelijkheid om het patroon steek voor steek uit te schrijven. Je kan hier lezen hoe je onze telpatronen moet lezen en begrijpen

PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. CROCHET INFO: Replace first tr on every row with 3 ch and finish every row with 1 tr in 3rd ch from beg of previous row. -------------------------------------------------------- BACK PIECE: Work 56-65-75 ch with Muskat on hook size 4 mm. Turn and work as follows: 1 dc in 2nd ch from hook, then work 1 dc in each of the next 5-7-3 ch, * skip 1 ch, work 1 dc in each of the next 6 ch *, repeat from *-* the entire row = 49-57-65 dc (first ch on row = 1 dc). Continue with pattern according to diagram A.1 – beg with row marked with 1 arrow as follows: a over the first 4 sts, b until 5 sts remain, then c. There are now 6-7-8 repetitions of pattern. Repeat the next 4 rows in diagram until piece measures approx. 14-16-18 cm. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! Do not cut the yarn - continue with edge piece. EDGE PIECE: Beg by working 1 dc row at the top along back piece – work 45-53-60 dc evenly, continue with 25-29-32 LOOSE ch (= armhole), then work 1 dc in every dc along the bottom edge on back piece but skip 4-4-5 sts evenly (= 45-53-60 dc), continue with 25-29-32 LOOSE ch (= armhole), fasten with 1 sl st in first dc at the top of back piece = 140-164-184 sts in total. Fasten off. Then beg all rows in the middle at the top of back piece. ROUND 1: Beg with 1 sl st in the middle dc (in size 10/12 years beg in one of the middle 2 sts), then work as follows: * 3 ch, skip 1 st, 1 dc in next st *, repeat from *-* around the entire bolero and until mid back again, finish round with 3 ch and 1 sl st in first sl st at the beg of round = 70-82-92 ch-spaces on round. ROUND 2: Work 1 sl st + 1 dc in first ch-space, * 3 ch, 1 dc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in first dc. Work as round 2 until edge measures approx. 3-3-4 cm. WORK NEXT ROUND AS FOLLOWS: Work 1 sl st + 1 dc in first ch-space, * 4 ch, 1 dc in next ch-space, 3 ch, 1 dc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in first dc. Continue as follows with 3 and 4 ch in every ch-space alternately until edge measures approx. 5-6-7 cm. WORK NEXT ROUND AS FOLLOWS: Work 2 sl sts + 1 dc in first ch-space, * 4 ch, 1 dc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in first dc. Continue with 4 ch in every ch-space until edge measures approx. 7-8-10 cm. WORK NEXT ROUND AS FOLLOWS: Work 2 sl sts + 1 dc in first ch-space, * 5 ch, 1 dc in next ch-space, 4 ch, 1 dc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in first dc. Continue with 4 and 5 ch in every ch-space alternately until edge measures approx. 9-11-13 cm. WORK NEXT ROUND AS FOLLOWS: Work sl sts until middle of first ch-space (this should be ch-space with 5 ch) - see also diagram A.2, this round is the one marked with 1 arrow in diagram: 6 ch, 1 tr in same ch-space, * 3 tr in 4-ch-space, 1 tr + 3 ch + 1 tr in next 5-ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with 3 tr in last 4-ch-space and 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round. WORK NEXT TO LAST ROUND AS FOLLOWS: 3 ch, then 4 tr in first 3-ch-space, * 1 ch, 1 tr in the middle of the 3 tr worked in 4-ch-space on previous round, 1 ch, 5 tr in next 3-ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with 1 ch, 1 tr in the middle of the last 3 tr, 1 ch and 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round. WORK LAST ROUND AS FOLLOWS: * 3 ch, 1 tr in the first ch worked, skip first tr, 1 dc in next tr, 3 ch, 2 tr in the first ch worked, skip 1 tr, 1 dc in next tr, 3 ch, 1 tr in the first ch worked, skip 1 tr, 1 dc in next ch, skip tr between tr-groups, 1 dc in next ch *, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with 1 sl st in first ch from beg of round. Fasten off. Edge measures approx. 14-16-18 cm. EDGE AROUND ARMHOLES: Along armhole on back piece work as follows: 1 sl st in first tr, * 3 ch, 1 dc in next tr *, repeat from *-*, along front piece work as follows: * 3 ch, skip 1 st, 1 dc in next st *, repeat from *-*, finish with 3 ch and 1 sl st in first sl st from beg of round. |
