In the instructions for the Edge Piece, after the third time it says “WORK NEXT ROUNDS AS FOLLOWS”, it says: Continue with 4 and 5 ch in every ch-space alternately until edge measures approx. 9-11-13 cm / 9½"-4½"-5". The conversion from 9 cm to inches is erroneous. 9 cm do not equal 9 1/2 inches.

Hej!

Men skal kun springe over 4 masker. Det vil jo aldrig give 53?
23.07.2023 - 19:00DROPS Design answered:
Hei Mette.

Size 3/5: When I finish the back piece, my last row has 49 stitches. For the edge, it says to begin by working 1 dc row at the top along back piece, but I don't understand how I should end up with 45 stitches along the top before starting my 25 ch for the armhole - do I need to skip some stitches along the top, as I do along the bottom?
08.11.2021 - 17:45DROPS Design answered:
Dear Terry, after back piece is done with A.1 you work 1 row with dc over all sts in A.1 decreasing/skipping 4 sts evenly so that there are 45 dc, then crochet 25 chains for the first armhole, crochet 45 dc evenly distributed over the 49 dc worked at the beg of back piece and crochet 25 chains, then join with 1 slip stitch in the first st at the beg of back piece/round. Happy crocheting!

Fasten off. Then beg all rows in the middle at the top of back piece. ROUND 1: Beg with 1 sl st in the middle dc (in size 10/12 years beg in one of the middle 2 sts), then work as follows: * 3 ch, skip 1 st, 1 dc in next st *, repeat from *-* around the entire bolero and until mid back again, finish round with 3 ch and 1 sl st in first sl st at the beg of round = 70-82-92 ch-spaces on round. ROUND 2: Work 1 sl st + 1 dc in first ch-space, * 3 ch, 1 dc in next ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round and finish with 1 sl st in first dc. Continue with 4 and 5 ch in every ch-space alternately until edge measures approx. 9-11-13 cm. WORK NEXT ROUND AS FOLLOWS: Work sl sts until middle of first ch-space (this should be ch-space with 5 ch) - see also diagram A.2, this round is the one marked with 1 arrow in diagram: 6 ch, 1 tr in same ch-space, * 3 tr in 4-ch-space, 1 tr + 3 ch + 1 tr in next 5-ch-space *, repeat from *-* the entire round, finish with 3 tr in last 4-ch-space and 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round.
