Gauge: 14 sts x 20 rows on larger needles in stockinette st = 10 x 10 cm. Rib: * K 2, P 2 *, repeat from * - *. Front: Cast on 46-50-58-62-70 sts on smaller needles. Knit 2 rows rib keeping 1 edge st in garter st at each side. Change to larger needles and stockinette st, decreasing 2 sts evenly distributed for size M/L (do not dec sts for the other sizes) = 46-50-56-62-70 sts. When the piece measures 10 cm inc 1 st at each side every 5 cm a total of 4-4-4-5-5 times = 54-58-64-72-80 sts. When the piece measures 32-33-34-35-36 cm bind off for armhole at each side every other row: 3 sts 0-0-1-1-1 time, 2 sts 1-1-0-1-3 times and 1 st 1-2-3-4-4 times = 48-50-52-54-54 sts. When the piece measures 42-44-46-48-50 cm bind off the center 14-14-16-16-16 sts for the neck. Then bind off at each neck edge every other row: 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 3 times = 12-13-13-14-14 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58 cm. Back: Cast on and knit the same as the front. Bind off for armhole as on front. When the piece measures 48-50-52-54-56 cm bind off the center 22-22-24-24-24 sts for the neck. On the next row dec 1 st at each neck edge = 12-13-13-14-14 sts remain on each shoulder. Bind off when the piece measures 50-52-54-56-58 cm. Sleeve: Cast on 34-34-34-38-38 sts on smaller needles. Knit 2 rows rib. Change to larger needles and stockinette st. When the piece measures 20 cm inc 1 st at each side every 5-4-3.5-3-2.5 cm a total of 7-8-9-9-10 times = 48-50-52-56-58 sts. When sleeve measures 52-51-50-49-46 cm bind off for sleeve cap at each side every other row: 4 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2-2-2-2-1 times and 1 st 1-1-2-3-8 times, then bind off 2 sts at each side until the piece measures 57 cm, then bind off 3 sts 1 time at each side. The piece measures approx. 58 cm, bind off the remaining sts. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Collar: Pick up approx. 64-74 sts around the neck on smaller short circular needles; join and place a marker at the join. P 1 row (right side row) and then K 4 rows (stockinette st), bind off – the edge will roll. Sew in sleeves. Sew sleeve and side seams in one, using edge sts as seam allowance. Loose collar: The collar is knit in 2 pieces until after the center front split. Piece-1: Cast on 43 sts on smaller needles and knit 4 rows garter st, change to larger needles and stockinette st – but keep 2 sts at the center front in garter st throughout. When the piece measures 6 cm set piece aside and knit Piece-2. Piece-2: Knit the same as Piece-1, but with 2 garter st edge sts at the opposite side. Collar: Put the 2 pieces on the same needle with the garter st edges next to each other = 86 sts. Knit stockinette st until piece measures approx. 28 cm. Change to smaller needles, knit 4 rows garter st and then bind off. Assembly: Sew center back using edge sts as seam allowance. |
