Hei! Går det an å strikke denne i Big Merino? Kva pinnestr. sjal eg bruke i tilfelle?

Hei Ellen.

RIDGE/GARTER STITCH (back and forth on needle): 1 ridge = Knit 2 rows. STRIPES: Sizes S + M: * 4 rows petrol, 10 rows off white *, repeat from *-*. 1 repeat from *-* = 6½ cm. Sizes L + XL: * 4 rows petrol, 12 rows off white *, repeat from *-*. 1 repeat from *-* = 7½ cm. Sizes XXL + XXXL: * 4 rows petrol, 14 rows off white *, repeat from *-*. 1 repeat from *-* = 8 cm. KNITTING TIP: If the knitting tension is not correct in height, this will affect where the stripes are situated on the jumper. You can compensate for this by adjusting the number of off white rows to a couple more or a couple less regularly throughout your work. BUTTONHOLES: Work 2 buttonholes on the right band at approx. 33-35-37-39-43-46 cm and 41-43-45-48-52-55 cm measured from the shoulder and down (or where desired). 1 BUTTONHOLE = Cast off 1 stitch and cast on 1 new stitch over the cast off stitch on the next row (it is neatest if you cast off in a purl section (seen from the right side). --------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------- JACKET: Due to the number of stitches, the piece is worked back and forth with circular needle. You work from the bottom of the right sleeve (rib is worked to finish), increase to sleeve in each side, cast on new stitches in each side for the front and back pieces and continue working to mid back, then from here you work in reverse. Continue working and cast off stitches for front and back pieces, decrease for sleeve in each side and continue to the bottom of the left sleeve. To finish, the garment is sewn together, before working ribbed edges along the jacket opening and around the bottom of the sleeves. RIGHT SLEEVE: Cast on 64-68-70-72-78-80 stitches (incl. 1 edge stitch in each side) with circular needle size 5 mm and off white. Work 3-5-5-7-7-10 rows stocking stitch, then continue with stocking stitch and STRIPES - see description above. READ KNITTING TIP! AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 2 cm increase new stitches in each side as follows (increase at end of each row): 1 stitch a total of 8-6-4-2-1-0 times and 2 stitches 0-2-4-6-7-8 times = 80-88-94-100-108-112 stitches. When piece measures approx. 9 cm (the last increase should now have been worked) cast on new stitches in each side for front and back pieces AT THE SAME TIME as you work short rows as follows (start at end of a row from the right side = towards back piece) – NOTE: The next rows are worked in off white and are in addition to the off white rows in the striped pattern: Cast on 72 new stitches at the end of the row. Turn piece. Purl 18 stitches. Turn piece, slip 1 stitch, tighten strand and knit 17 stitches. Turn piece, purl 36 stitches. Turn piece, slip 1 stitch, tighten strand and knit 35 stitches. Turn piece, purl 54 stitches. Turn piece, slip 1 stitch, tighten strand and knit 53 stitches. Turn piece and purl over all 152-160-166-172-180-184 stitches. Cast on 72 new stitches at the end of this row (= towards front piece). Turn piece, knit 18 stitches. Turn piece, slip 1 stitch, tighten strand and purl 17 stitches. Turn piece, knit 36 stitches. Turn piece, slip 1 stitch, tighten strand and purl 35 stitches. Turn piece and knit 54 stitches. Turn piece, slip 1 stitch, tighten strand and purl 53 stitches and turn piece. Then work STRIPES as before back and forth over all 224-232-238-244-252-256 stitches (the stripes are continued where you stopped before casting on new stitches for front and back pieces) – NOTE: The outermost 2 stitches in each side are now worked in GARTER STITCH – see description above. When piece measures 24-26-28-30-33-36 cm (you should now have worked approx. 3-5-5-7-7-10 rows off white) cast off the first 112-116-119-122-126-128 stitches at the beginning of a row from the right side for front edge = 112-116-119-122-126-128 stitches left on needle. Continue with stripes. AT THE SAME TIME decrease 1 stitch at the beginning of the next 2 rows from the right side = 110-114-117-120-124-126 stitches. When piece measures 30-32-34-37-40-43 cm (you should now have worked approx 3-5-3-6-5-8 rows of off white) insert 1 marker in the piece = mid back. From here you work in reverse and THE PIECE IS NOW MEASURED FROM HERE! (NOTE: The middle stripe at the back (= off white) will have a different width to the other off white stripes). Continue working as follows: Work 3-5-3-6-5-8 rows off white (or the same number of rows of off white as before the marker), then continue the stripes as before – NOTE: Make sure that you have the same number of rows in every stripe on both sides of the marker. AT THE SAME TIME when the piece measures 5-5-5-6-6-6 cm from the marker cast on 1 new stitch at the end of the next 2 rows from the wrong side (= towards the neck) = 112-116-119-122-126-128 stitches. On the next row from the wrong side cast on 112-116-119-122-126-128 new stitches for the front edge of the left front piece = 224-232-238-244-252-256 stitches. Continue the stripes as before – NOTE: Make sure that you have the same number of rows in the stripes on each side of mid front. When piece measures 21-23-25-28-31-34 cm from the marker (= 51-55-59-65-71-77 cm from the cast on edge) work short rows on front and back pieces AT THE SAME TIME as the stitches on the front and back pieces are cast off as follows (start at beginning of row from the right side (= front piece) – NOTE - the next rows are worked in off white as for the right side of the garment: Knit 18 stitches. Turn piece, slip 1 stitch, tighten strand and purl 17 stitches. Turn piece, knit 36 stitches. Turn piece, slip 1 stitch, tighten strand and purl 35 stitches. Turn piece, knit 54 stitches. Turn piece, slip 1 stitch, tighten strand and purl 53 stitches. Turn piece and cast off the first 72 stitches on needle = 152-160-166-172-180-184 stitches left on needle. Knit over all of these stitches. Turn piece, purl 18 stitches. Turn piece, slip 1 stitch, tighten strand and knit 17 stitches. Turn piece, purl 36 stitches. Turn piece, slip 1 stitch, tighten strand and knit 35 stitches. Turn piece, purl 54 stitches. Turn piece, slip 1 stitch, tighten strand and knit 53 stitches. Turn piece and cast off the first 72 stitches at beginning of needle = 80-88-94-100-108-112 stitches left on needle. Continue with stocking stitch and stripes as before – make sure the stripes match the other side of the piece. AT THE SAME TIME decrease now in each side at the beginning of each row as follows: 2 stitches a total of 0-2-4-6-7-8 times and 1 stitch a total of 8-6-4-2-1-0 times = 64-68-70-72-78-80 stitches. Cast off when piece measures 30-32-34-37-40-43 cm from the marker (= 60-64-68-74-80-86 cm from the cast on edge) – fold the piece double at the marker thread in the neck and make sure the right and left sides are the same length and that you have worked the same number of rows off white after the last stripe with petrol as on the right sleeve. ASSEMBLY: Sew the sleeve and side seams in one go inside the 1 edge stitch. CUFF: Knit up 62-66-68-70-76-78 stitches around bottom of sleeve with short circular needle/double pointed needles size 4 mm and off white. Work rib = K2 / P2 AT THE SAME TIME as you increase on the first round 14-14-16-18-16-18 stitches evenly = 76-80-84-88-92-96 stitches. When the rib measures 8 cm LOOSELY cast off with knit over knit and purl over purl. Repeat around bottom of other sleeve. BAND: Knit up from the right side: 149-153-157-165-169-173 stitches along the left front piece from mid back of neck to the bottom edge with circular needle size 4 mm and off white. The next row is worked as follows from the wrong side: 2 stitches garter stitch, rib = P2 / K2 until there are 3 stitches left and finish with P2 and 1 stitch garter stitch. Continue the rib in this way with knit over knit, purl over purl and garter stitch over garter stitch until the band measures 3 cm. Now insert 1 marker thread after 33-33-37-37-41-41 stitches from mid back of neck. Continue the rib as before AT THE SAME TIME as you now increase 1 stitch in each purl section (seen from the right side) over the 33-33-37-37-41-41 stitches = 8-8-9-9-10-10 stitches increased (this is done so that the band does not pull at the back of the neck). Repeat the increase when the band measures 6 and 9 cm. When the band measures 10 cm, cast off all stitches with knit over knit and purl over purl. Repeat along the right front piece but when the band measures 9 cm work 2 BUTTONHOLES - see description above. Sew the band together mid back of neck - sew edge to edge in the outermost loop of the outermost stitch. Sew buttons onto the left band. |
