Jeśli trzeba, do wykonania próbki zmień rozmiar drutów. Jeżeli Twoja próbka będzie miała 12 oczek na 10 cm i jej faktura będzie Ci odpowiadać, żadne przeliczenia nie będą konieczne. Pozdrawiamy!

Loosely inc new sts in each side every 2nd row (i.e. at end of each row): 1 st 1-4-6-5-8 times, 2 sts 5-4-2-4-2 times, 3 sts 2-1-1-1-1 times, 5 sts 2-2-2-1-1 times and then 10 sts 1 time = 144-146-148-150-154 sts. I don't understand how to do this, can you help please

Hi PP, To cast on evenly, the stitches are cast on at the end of each row - the first increase is 1 stitch (at both ends) 1-4-6-5-8 times, depending on the size you are working. The next increase is 2 stitches (at both ends) 5-4-2-4-2 times and so on. I hope this helps and happy knitting!

"Loosely cast on new sts at the end of every row: 1 st 1 times, 2 sts 5 times, 3 sts 2- times, 5 sts 2 times and then 10 sts 1 time." Does this mean that I'm supposed to do these cast ons for each side of the pattern rather than for just one row? Because if I end by just casting on 10 extra stitches one time on 1 row it seems like one side will be much longer than the other. I'm just not sure how this works out (this is my first sweater!)- any explanation would be wonderful. Thanks!

Dear Rachael, these are the sts for the sleeves, they have to been cast on at the end of each row, in means both sides, from RS and from WS to have the same amount of sts inc each side. Happy knitting!

NOTE: In this model, body and sleeves are worked as 1 piece, it is therefore very important that knitting tension is right in length, otherwise garment will be too long or too short and sleeves too big or too small. Garter st (back and forth on needle): 1 ridge = 2 rows. 1st row: K, 2nd row: K. Pattern: See diagram M.1. Diagram shows pattern from RS. Decrease tip (for neckline): Dec on inside of 2sts garter st. All dec from RS. Dec as follows after 2 sts garter st: Slip 1 st K-wise, K 1, lift the slip st over. Dec as follows before 2 sts garter st: K 2 tog. Measuring tip: Due to weight of wool, all measurements should be taken when holding piece up, or garment will be too long when worn. Jumper: Jumper is worked in 2 parts. Begin working at bottom of body and then inc for sleeves. Subsequently, front and back pieces sewn together at shoulder. Front piece: Loosely cast on 70-76-82-88-94 sts with needle size 9 mm and Salsa and work M.1 (1st row = WS). Then continue with stocking st. Remember knitting tension! When piece measures 9-10-11-12-13 cm start inc for sleeves. Continue working 2 outermost sts in each side in garter st and other sts in stocking st. When piece measures 26-28-30-31-33 cm – read Measuring tip – work K from WS across middle 18-18-20-20-20 sts (other sts worked in stocking st as before). On next row cast off middle 14-14-16-16-16 sts for neck. Place sts from one side on 1 thread. 1st side: = 65-66-66-67-69 sts. Continue with stocking st and 2 sts garter st in each side – at same time dec towards neck every 2nd row – see Decrease tip: 1 st 4 times = 61-62-62-63-65 sts remain on shoulder + sleeve. When piece measures 34-36-38-40-42 cm place sts on 1 thread. 2nd side: Place sts from thread in other side back on needle and work as for 1st side - NOTEB: 1st row worked from neck - start by picking up 1 st in 1st st which was dec for neck and work tog with 1st st on needle. This is done so that there will not be a "notch" in neckline. Back piece: Cast on and work as for front piece. Inc for sleeves as for front piece and continue with stocking st and 2 sts garter st in each side until piece measures 33-35-37-39-41 cm. Now work K from WS across middle 26-26-28-28-28 sts. On next row cast off middle 22-22-24-24-24 sts for neck. Place remaining 61-62-62-63-65 sts in each side on 1 thread, piece measures approx. 34-36-38-40-42 cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder and sleeve seams with invisible sts - see fig.1. Sew sleeve and side seams in one in outermost loop of outermost st. NOTE: So the seam is neat, sew 1 st in each knitted st, make sure the seam is not tight. Neck: Crochet 1 round ch-spaces around neck on hook size 4.5 mm and double strand Cotton Viscose as follows (work around outermost ridge/ridge st): 1 dc, * 5 ch, 1 dc around next st *, repeat from *-* and finish with 5 ch and 1 sl st in 1st dc from beg of round. Cuff: Crochet ch-spaces at bottom of each sleeve in same way as for neck, then work 1 round as follows: Work sl st to middle of 1st ch-space, * 5 ch, 1 dc around next ch-space *, repeat from *-* and finish with 5 ch and 1 sl st in sl st from beg of round. |
