Please, in the yoke, on the third row, the last stitch before the five garter stitches band, is a yo?Am I right?
21.04.2015 - 21:27DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Cevolani, depending on your size the last st on 3rd row in A.1 will be either a YO or if 1 st remain, K the last st before the 5 garter sts. Happy knitting!

Good morning, please I have 3 questions: the diagram shows the right side of the pattern as usual? And the WS is read from left to right, the right side from right to left?I Also don't understand the words on the star:"pattern in diagram does not fit the repetition but fits no of stitches on the entire vest."Thanks for your help!
19.04.2015 - 15:28DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Cevolani, you are correct for how to read the pattern - see also here. When there is a star, just repeat diagram on these rows as stated ie over all sts to get the correct number of sts (diagram is worked on these row over same repeat as before but number of sts will match). Happy knitting!

Please, what kind of cast on is suggested?
29.03.2015 - 16:16DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Cevolani, you can cast on with your favorite technique - see below as an example the continental cast on method. Happy knitting!

Please, I am 93 bust. this cardigan is 90 (M) or 100 (L). I usually buy L garments. What measure would you suggest me better?
29.03.2015 - 15:06DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Cevolani, compare a similar garment you have and like the shape to the measurements in the chart to find out the matching size, depening on how tight/loose you rather want it to be. Happy knitting!

Strikker nå mønsterrapport A.1 og lurer på noe angående den. På første rapporten med * på ( der det er perlestrikk) vil jeg få 2 rette eller 2 vrange ved siden av hverandre hver 11. maske. Er dette rett?
30.04.2014 - 11:38DROPS Design answered:
Mønsteret i diag går ikke opp i rapporten men går opp i m antallet på hele vesten. Dvs at du kan strikke perlestrik med skiftevis 1 r/1 vr som stemmer over hele pinden.

I don't understand the decreasing for the sleeves \\--AT THE SAME TIME dec 7-15-12-3-31-28 sts over sts in stockinette st = 163-167-194-219-211-242 sts on needle.--\\
06.04.2014 - 04:53DROPS Design answered:
Dear Helda, on this row, you cast off 8 sts for both armhole, and work all sts in st st + front band sts in garter st as before. The number of sts in st st has to be decreased by 7-31 sts (see size), by working sts tog evenly spaced. Take care to have same number of sts for each front piece. Happy knitting!

Cast on 190-210-230-250-270-290 sts (incl 5 band sts in each side) on circular needle size 3.5 mm with Muskat. Work 4 ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above. Switch to circular needle size 4 mm and work from RS 5 band sts in garter st in each side, and in stocking st over the other sts until piece measures 7 cm – remember BUTTONHOLES. Work band sts in each side in garter st until finished measurements. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Now insert 4 markers in the piece. Work as follows from RS: 5 band sts in garter st, K 20-20-25-25-30-30, insert 1 marker (= 1st marker), K 50-60-60-70-70-80, insert 1 marker (= 2nd marker), K 40-40-50-50-60-60, insert 1 marker (= 3rd marker), K 50-60-60-70-70-80, insert 1 marker (= 4th marker), K 20-20-25-25-30-30, finish with 5 sts in garter st (= band sts). Move the markers upwards when working. On next row from RS, dec 1 st at every marker – Read DECREASE TIP = 4 sts dec on needle. NOTE! No of sts in the middle i.e. on each side of band sts mid front and mid back is the same, dec in side sts. Repeat dec every 8th-8th-8th-6th-6th-8th row 6-7-7-9-8-6 more times (= 7-8-8-10-9-7 dec in total) = 162-178-198-210-234-262 sts on needle. Continue in stocking st until piece measures 32 cm. On next row from RS, inc 1 st at every marker – Read INCREASE TIP = 4 sts inc on needle. NOTE! No of sts in the middle i.e. on each side of band sts mid front and mid back is the same, inc in side sts. Repeat inc every 4th-6th-6th-4th-6th-8th row 5-4-5-6-5-5 more times (= 6-5-6-7-6-6 times in total) = 186-198-222-238-258-286 sts on needle. Continue in stocking st and in garter st over band sts until piece measures 41-43-45-44-46-48 cm. Then work 1 ridge over all sts (1st row from RS). READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SECTION BEFORE CONTINUING! Then dec for sleeve on next row from RS as follows: 5 band sts in garter s, K 40-43-49-53-58-65, cast off the next 8 sts in garter st, K 80-86-98-106-116-130, cast off the next 8 sts in garter st, K 40-43-49-53-58-65 and 5 band sts in garter st AT THE SAME TIME dec 7-15-12-3-31-28 sts over sts in stocking st = 163-167-194-219-211-242 sts on needle. Put piece aside and knit the sleeve edges. SLEEVE EDGE: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 54-58-62-68-72-76 sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm with Muskat. Work 2 ridges, AT THE SAME TIME on 1st row dec 4 sts evenly (this is done to avoid a tight edge on sleeve) = 50-54-58-64-68-72 sts on needle. Fasten off. Put piece aside and knit another sleeve edge. YOKE: Slip sleeve edges on to same circular needle size 4 mm as body where armholes were cast off = 263-275-310-347-347-386 sts on needle (do not work sts when slipping them on same needle). Work 5 band sts in garter st, diagram A.1 (1st row = WS) (= 12-12-13-14-14-15 sts) 21-22-23-24-24-25 repetitions in width until 6 sts remain, work first st in A.1 (so that pattern is the same in each side towards mid front, if first st is 2 K tog, K last st) and finish with 5 band sts in garter st – remember BUTTONHOLES. Continue pattern like this. After all dec are done, 137-143-149-155-155-161 sts remain on needle. Cast off. ASSEMBLY: Sew sleeve edges in body. Sew the buttons on to the left band. |
