On row 6 of the S-M A.1 diagram the the K2 together at start of each repeat of 12 stitches ends up next to another knit stitch (from end of 12 stitch repeat). This means the moss stitch pattern will have a double knit or pearl all the way up. Is this correct?
14.09.2019 - 13:26DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Thomas, in the moss stitch section, just work moss stitch all the row decreasing by working the first 2 stitches in each A.1 together, ie you might have to K2 tog or P2 tog to make sure the moss stitch matches all the row - see star symbol under diagram key. Happy knitting!

Hej.

Dear Mrs Cevaloni, the best may be to show the finished items to your store (eventually send a picture by mail) so that they can see and help you/give you personnal assistance. Happy knitting!

Cast on 190-210-230-250-270-290 sts (incl 5 band sts in each side) on circular needle size 3.5 mm with Muskat. Work 4 ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above. Switch to circular needle size 4 mm and work from RS 5 band sts in garter st in each side, and in stocking st over the other sts until piece measures 7 cm – remember BUTTONHOLES. Work band sts in each side in garter st until finished measurements. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Now insert 4 markers in the piece. Work as follows from RS: 5 band sts in garter st, K 20-20-25-25-30-30, insert 1 marker (= 1st marker), K 50-60-60-70-70-80, insert 1 marker (= 2nd marker), K 40-40-50-50-60-60, insert 1 marker (= 3rd marker), K 50-60-60-70-70-80, insert 1 marker (= 4th marker), K 20-20-25-25-30-30, finish with 5 sts in garter st (= band sts). Move the markers upwards when working. On next row from RS, dec 1 st at every marker – Read DECREASE TIP = 4 sts dec on needle. NOTE! No of sts in the middle i.e. on each side of band sts mid front and mid back is the same, dec in side sts. Repeat dec every 8th-8th-8th-6th-6th-8th row 6-7-7-9-8-6 more times (= 7-8-8-10-9-7 dec in total) = 162-178-198-210-234-262 sts on needle. Continue in stocking st until piece measures 32 cm. On next row from RS, inc 1 st at every marker – Read INCREASE TIP = 4 sts inc on needle. NOTE! No of sts in the middle i.e. on each side of band sts mid front and mid back is the same, inc in side sts. Repeat inc every 4th-6th-6th-4th-6th-8th row 5-4-5-6-5-5 more times (= 6-5-6-7-6-6 times in total) = 186-198-222-238-258-286 sts on needle. Continue in stocking st and in garter st over band sts until piece measures 41-43-45-44-46-48 cm. Then work 1 ridge over all sts (1st row from RS). READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING SECTION BEFORE CONTINUING! Then dec for sleeve on next row from RS as follows: 5 band sts in garter s, K 40-43-49-53-58-65, cast off the next 8 sts in garter st, K 80-86-98-106-116-130, cast off the next 8 sts in garter st, K 40-43-49-53-58-65 and 5 band sts in garter st AT THE SAME TIME dec 7-15-12-3-31-28 sts over sts in stocking st = 163-167-194-219-211-242 sts on needle. Put piece aside and knit the sleeve edges. SLEEVE EDGE: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 54-58-62-68-72-76 sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm with Muskat. Work 2 ridges, AT THE SAME TIME on 1st row dec 4 sts evenly (this is done to avoid a tight edge on sleeve) = 50-54-58-64-68-72 sts on needle. Fasten off. Put piece aside and knit another sleeve edge. YOKE: Slip sleeve edges on to same circular needle size 4 mm as body where armholes were cast off = 263-275-310-347-347-386 sts on needle (do not work sts when slipping them on same needle). Work 5 band sts in garter st, diagram A.1 (1st row = WS) (= 12-12-13-14-14-15 sts) 21-22-23-24-24-25 repetitions in width until 6 sts remain, work first st in A.1 (so that pattern is the same in each side towards mid front, if first st is 2 K tog, K last st) and finish with 5 band sts in garter st – remember BUTTONHOLES. Continue pattern like this. After all dec are done, 137-143-149-155-155-161 sts remain on needle. Cast off. ASSEMBLY: Sew sleeve edges in body. Sew the buttons on to the left band. |
