Hoi Karolin. Je hebt 48 l-lussen. Je haakt 3 l (1e stk), 3 stk om eerste l-lus (47 l-lussen over), dan haak je * 3 stk, 4 stk, 3 stk in elk l-lus * tot er 2 l-lussen over zijn. Dwz, 15 keer herhalen (3 x 15 = 45) en je hebt 10 stk per herhaling = 150 stk en eindigt met 4 stk in elk van de twee laatste l-lussen = 1+3+150+4+4 = 162 stk

Hi again. I see you have already had this Q, but I have followed the instructions exactly and although row 17 is correct, I can't get past this row as row 18 is producing too many trebles... I realise I must be going wrong somewhere, but can't see what for looking!

Hi I am unable to get the 162 stitches required for row 18. I have tried various ways to achieve this number of stitches, but it seems impossible to get any less than 168 thus giving 56 chain spaces for row 19. Please help!

Bon crochet!

Hello, I can't seem to post a picture here, so I asked this question on your Facebook page, but they directed me back here. If possible it would help to look at the picture, but if not my stitched piece looks like stair steps. Can this possibly be correct for the sleeve in pattern w-052-bn? This is what I have before final decrease of 4 tog. Thank you for any help.
12.04.2016 - 13:53DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Cox, you should have only 1 "stair" on each side, ie when dec 4 sts on each side the first time, then work 4 sts tog every other row to get a smoother sleeve cap. Happy crocheting!

Hello, I love this and I'm making for my granddaughter. My question is where the in round 3 does it mean to do the sc. In the chain stitch itself at the top or in the space created with the chains? Here is where I would like the written pattern and a diagram... Then I guess the same question going forward stitch into spaces or stitches? Thank you very much for any help you can give me.
05.04.2016 - 17:21DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Cox, you will crochet 1 sc in the top of each leaf on previous round ( 1 leaf on round 2 = 1 picot). Happy crocheting!

I know, driving you crazy!! But if I take the 48 ch spaces from round 17, which I did get, then put dc in 24 of them and 4 dc in the other 24, it makes 72 +96 dc = 168 dc but if you put 4dc in last two ch. spaces as it says in pattern it makes 169 dc but either way I just cannot get the 162 dc to make round 19 correct with 54 spaces. Thank you, Pam
24.03.2016 - 18:20DROPS Design answered:
Dear Pam, crochet round 18 as follows: 3 dc in first ch-loop, then work (3 dc in next ch-space, 4 dc in next ch-space, 3 dc in next ch-space) repeat a total of 15 times (= 150 dc over a total of 45 ch-spaces) and finish with 4 dc in last 2 ch-spaces. You should have: 4 dc+ (15 x (3+4+3) = 150) + 8 = 162dc. Happy Crocheting!

Please disregard my previous question, I think I figured it out, the only thing is that I ended up with 57 ch. spaces instead of 54 after the 19th round and can't really see where I went wrong. Thank you once again, Pam
23.03.2016 - 23:02DROPS Design answered:
Dear Pam, at the end of round 18 you should have 162 sts and on next round you skip 2 sts working 1 sc in every 3rd st = 54 ch-loops x 3 = 162 dc on previous round. Happy crocheting!

Continue working only over 22 ch-spaces in each side – i.e. do not work over 15 ch-spaces at top by neck or 15 ch-spaces at bottom of back. Continue with explanation below front piece further down in pattern. LEFT FRONT PIECE: = 17-19-22 ch-spaces. Continue as follows: ROW 1: Work 1 tr in every dc (first tr is replaced by 3 ch) and 3 tr in every ch-space – AT THE SAME TIME work the first 5 and last 5 tr on row tog - SEE DECREASE TIP 1 – (i.e. there are 8 tr less on row every time 1st row is worked) = 61-69-81 tr on row. ROW 2: 5 ch (= 1 dc + 4 ch) up from first tr (i.e. the 5 tr worked tog), * skip 3 tr, 1 dc in next tr, 4 ch *, repeat from *-*, finish with 1 dc in last tr (i.e. in the 5 tr worked tog) = 15-17-20 ch-spaces on row. Repeat rows 1 and 2 a total of 4-4-5 times, (= approx. 8-8-10 cm). 9-11-12 ch-spaces remain at the edge of front piece. Fasten off. RIGHT FRONT PIECE: Work same way as on left front piece over 17-19-22 ch-spaces in the right side. SLEEVE: Worked back and forth and sewn tog afterwards. Work 30-34-37 loose ch (incl 3 ch to turn with) on hook size 5 mm with Paris. ROW 1: 1 tr in 4th ch from hook, 1 tr in each of the next 5-2-5 ch, * skip 1 ch, 1 tr in each of the next 6 ch *, repeat from *-* the rest of the row = 25-28-31 tr. Turn piece. Work 1 row with 1 tr in every tr - first tr is replaced by 3 ch. Then work PATTERN for sleeve - see explanation above. AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures approx. 10 cm (adjust so that next row is 2nd row in pattern), inc 3 tr evenly. Repeat inc approx. every 8-10-12 cm 2 more times = 34-37-40 tr in total on row. NOTE: Hold the piece up when measuring the sleeve length otherwise the sleeve will be too long when worn. When piece measures approx. 29-35-40 cm (adjust so that next row is 1st row in pattern), dec in each side for sleeve cap as follows: Work sl sts over the first 4 tr, then work ch-spaces as before (work first ch-space up from 4th sl st made) until 3 tr remain, turn piece. On next row, work the first 4 and last 4 tr tog – SEE DECREASE TIP 2. Repeat dec every other row 3 more times. Fasten off, piece measures approx. 37-43-48 cm. Sew sleeve seams edge to edge to avoid a chunky seam. ASSEMBLY: Work 1 round around the entire body as follows - beg mid back of neck with 1 dc in first ch-space: * 1 picot (= 4 ch, 1 tr in first ch), skip approx. 1½ cm, 1 dc *, repeat from *-* around the entire piece, finish with 1 sl st in first dc. Work the same way around the bottom opening of the sleeves. Sew sleeves in body - make sure that sleeve cap is sewn in at the top of armholes, i.e. where the distance is shortest. Work a ch-row with approx. 50 ch on hook size 5 mm with Paris. Fasten off, this is used to close the jacket mid front. |
