Merci d'avance :)

Bon tricot!

I am knitting these socks Drops 110-31 for myself. U.S. size - 7 ½/9. I have knitted lots of top down socks, but not many knee socks. Just one pair. In that pattern, the stitch count to cast on was 100., with ribbing (1k, 1p) for 30 rounds. The ribbing in the your pattern pattern is different than the other sock pattern being 2k, 3p. So I am wondering if these will fit me around the top of the sock, down to my rounded calf. Will it be able to stretch enough is what I am saying?

Dear Mrs MacKinnon, make sure you get the correct tension and keep it when working, then the socks should fit. Happy knitting!

Hej!

Hej Sabina, Har du stickat i DROPS Fabel?

Heel dec : Row 1 (= RS): Work row until 6-7-7 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso, turn piece. Row 2 (= WS): Work row until 6-7-7 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to P, P1, psso, turn piece. Row 3 (= RS): Work row until 5-6-6 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to K, K1, psso, turn piece. Row 4 (= WS): Work row until 5-6-6 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to P, P1, psso, turn piece. Continue dec like this with 1 less st before each dec until there are 14-14-16 sts left on row. Sock: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Work foot in either rib on upper foot or stocking st all the way round. Cast on 75-80-85 sts on needle size 2.5 mm with 1 thread Fabel. K 2 rounds. Remember the knitting tension! Continue in rib, K2/P3, until piece measures 20-22-23 cm. Now dec 1 st in each P-section = 60-64-68 sts, and continue in rib, K2/P2. Foot with rib on upper part: When piece measures 30-31-32 cm keep the first 26-26-30 sts on needle for heel (the first and last 2 of these are K sts) and slip remaining 34-38-38 sts on a stitch holder. Continue in stocking st back and forth on needle on heel sts for 5-5.5-6 cm, at the same time dec 2-0-2 sts evenly on first row = 24-26-28 sts. Insert a Marking Thread (MT) – now measure piece from here. Dec for heel – see Heel dec above. After heel dec pick up 13-14-16 sts on both sides of heel and slip the 34-38-38 sts from stitch holder back on needle = 74-80-86 sts. Insert a MT on either side of the 34-38-38 sts mid upper foot and continue in rib on upper foot and stocking st on remaining sts – at the same time dec either side of rib upper foot as follows: K tog the last 2 sts before rib into back of loop and K tog the first 2 sts after rib. Dec like this on every other round a total of 9-10-11 times = 56-60-64 sts. Continue in rib on 34-38-38 sts upper foot and stocking st on the remaining 22-22-26 sts under foot until piece measures 18-19-21 cm from MT on heel (= 4-5-6 cm left). Insert a MT each side with 28-30-32 sts between each MT. Complete piece in stocking st, at the same time dec for toes on both sides of each MT as follows: Dec as follows before MT: K2 tog. Dec as follows after MT: K2 tog into back of loop. Dec like this each side on every other round a total of 3-6-8 times and then on every round a total of 8-5-4 times = 12-16-16 sts left on round. On next round work all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten. Foot length = approx 22-24-27 cm. Foot in stocking st: When piece measures 22-23-24 cm continue in stocking st, at the same time dec 6 sts evenly on first round = 54-58-62 sts. When piece measures 30-31-32 cm keep the first 24-26-28 sts on needle for heel and slip the remaining 30-32-34 sts on a stitch holder (= mid upper foot). Work 5-5.5-6 cm stocking st back and forth on needle on heel sts and insert a Marking Thread (MT) in piece – now measure piece from here. Dec for heel – see Heel dec above. After heel dec pick up 13-14-16 sts on both sides of heel and slip the 30-32-34 sts from stitch holder back on needle = 70-74-82 sts. Insert a MT on either side of the 30-32-34 sts mid upper foot and continue in stocking st – at the same time dec each side as follows: K tog the last 2 sts before the 30-32-34 sts on upper foot into back of loop and K tog the first 2 sts after the 30-32-34 sts on upper foot. Dec like this on every other round a total of 9-9-11 times = 52-56-60 sts. Continue until piece measures 18-19-21 cm from MT on heel (= 4-5-6 cm left). Insert a MT each side with 26-28-30 sts between each MT. Continue in stocking st, at the same time dec for toes on both sides of each MT as follows: Dec as follows before MT: K2 tog. Dec as follows after MT: K2 tog into back of loop. Dec like this each side on every other round a total of 4-7-9 times and then on every round a total of 6-3-2 times = 12-16-16 sts left on round. On next round work all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten. Foot length = approx 22-24-27 cm. |
