Bonjour Mme Haquenne, sur la base de l'échantillon de 10 m = 10 cm, vous aurez 44 cm de large x 68 cm de long dans la 1ère taille et 50 cm de large x 78 cm de long dans la 2ème taille pour chacune des 2 parties du poncho. Bon triot!

Hoi. Je kan dit berekenen met de stekenverhouding. Je zet 44 st op en moet 10 st per 10 cm hebben, dus breedte per deel is ook 44 cm.

Sallyann, the amounts are correct. Highlander which is discontinued had a yardage of 80 m = 87 yards per skein. You can substitute with for example Eskimo or Andes, but note that they have 50 m = 54 yds per skein, so you will have to calculate based on that.

Knitting tension: 10 sts x 16 rows on needles size 8mm = 10 x 10 cm The poncho is knitted in 2 parts, which are crochet together afterwards. First half: Cast on 44 (50) sts loosely on needle 8mm with Highlander and knit stocking sts. Cast off loosely when piece measures 68 (78) cm. Other half: Cast on and knit as first half. Assembly: Crochet the 2 parts together using crochet hook 6mm and Highlander. Place the cast-off-edge on first half against the right long side of other half - from bottom of cast-on-edge and 44 (50) cm up. Crochet the two pieces together with dc. Now crochet cast-off-edge on other half and the left long side of first half together in the same way. Crochet dc along the neck opening using 1 thread Highlander, 1 thread Snow no 26 and 1 thread Snow no 08 (= 3 threads) – crochet loosely and make sts approx 2 cm long before crocheting next st. Tassels: 1 tassel = 1 thread Snow no 08, 2 threads Snow no 26 and 2 threads Highlander (= 5 threads), each 40 cm long. Fold threads, pull loop through st on poncho and pull ends through loop. Attach a tassel mid front and mid and distribute further tassels evenly along edges with 6-7 cm in between. Crochet flower: Crochet 1 small and 2 large flowers. Small flower: 1 leaf row in colour no 08 and 2 leaf rows in colour no 26 Large flower: 3 leaf rows in colour no 26 and 1 leaf row in colour no 08 Crochet 4 ch on hook size 6 and form a ring with a sl st. 1st row: *1 dc in loop, 3 ch* repeat from *-* a total of 3 times and finish with a sl st in the first dc = 3 ch loops. 2nd row: Crochet as follows in each loop: 1 sl st, 5 tr, 1 sl st. = 3 leaves. Turn the piece – and crochet row 3 from the wrong side. 3rd row: 1 ch, 1 dc around the 1st dc from the 1st row, 3 ch, 1 dc in between the 3rd and 4th tr from the first leaf from 2nd row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in between the 1st and 2nd tr from the second leaf from 2nd row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in between the 5th tr and the sl. st from the second leaf from 2nd row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in between the 1st and 2nd tr from the third leaf from 2nd row. Then 3 ch, and finish off with 1 sl st in the 1st ch from beginning of row = 5 ch loops. Turn the piece – and crochet row 4 from the right side. NB! Second leaf rows starts here, remember to change colour on small flower. 4th row: Crochet in each ch loop as follows: 1 sl st, 6 tr, 1 sl st. = 5 leaves. Turn the work – and continue row 5 from the wrong side. 5th row: 1 ch, 1 dc around the 1st dc from the 3rd row, 3 ch, 1 dc in in the lower of the 5th tr from the first leaf from 4th row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in the lower of the 4th tr from the second leaf from 4th row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in the lower of the 3th tr 3rd leaf from 4th row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in the lower of the 2nd tr from the fourth leaf from 4th row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in the lower of the 1st tr from the fifth leaf from 4th row. Then 3 ch, and finish off with 1 sl st. in the 1st ch from beginning of row = 6 ch loops. Turn the piece – and crochet row 6 from the right side 6th row: Crochet in each ch loop as follows: 1 sl st, 6 tr, 1 sl st = 6 leaves. Turn the piece – and crochet row 7 from the wrong side. NB! Small flower is now finished. Cut and sew thread. 7th row: 1 ch, 1 dc around the 1st dc from the 5th row, 3 ch, 1 dc in in the lower of the 5th. tr from the first leaf from 6th row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in the lower of the 4th tr from the second leaf from 6th row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in the lower of the 3rd tr 3rd leaf from 6th row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in the lower of the 2nd tr from the fourth leaf from 6th row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in the lower of the 1st tr from the fifth leaf from 6th row. Then 3 ch, 1 dc in sl st from the fifth leaf from 6th row. Then 3 ch, and finish with 1 sl st in the 1st ch from beginning of row = 7 ch loops. Turn the piece – and crochet row 8 from the right side. NB! 4th leaf row starts here, remember to change colour. 8th row: Crochet in each ch loop as follows: 1 sl st, 6 tr, 1 sl st = 7 leaves. Cut the thread. Sew a safety pin on the back of the flower and place them along neckline as shown in photo. |
