Please could drops designers make a modern cardigan or sweater using some of these beautiful motifs?!
13.03.2025 - 22:30DROPS Design answered:
Dear Sharon, we don't make custom patterns. Since these are simple colourwork motifs and have no increases or decreases you can use these motifs in any of our modern garments with colourwork motifs worked bottom up with set-in sleeves, by substituting the charts in those garments with the charts in this pattern. Just make sure that the number of stitches that you have is enough for the charts chosen or adjust to correctly center the charts, so that the discontinued motif is barely visible. Happy knitting!

I think that there may be an error in chart M2 -- based on the sweater picture, the colors marked red in the chart should actually be green, no?

Hi Thank you, you are right. This has now been corrected. Happy knitting!

Hvilket garn vil i anbefale? Jeg har kigget lidt på baby Merino. På forhånd tak
29.01.2018 - 17:04DROPS Design answered:
Hei Mette.

Bon tricot!

Knit M.1, then with navy until piece measures 23 (24) cm. - Remember knitting tension – ensure to place butterfly mid front body – continuing, knit pattern: (start at arrow and knit sts for front piece, start at arrow again and knit sts for back piece on all patterns) M.2, M.4, M.3 (but turn pattern repeat upside down), M.6, M.5 (but turn pattern repeat upside down) and then complete with navy. At the same time when piece measures 26 (27) cm inc 5 sts on each side for armhole (these sts are for knitting later and are not knit into pattern). After M.1 continuing knit with navy until piece measures 24 (23) cm. Now complete piece as follows: M.2, M.4, M.3 (but turn pattern repeat upside down) and then complete with navy. When piece measures 49 (48-48) cm knit 2 cm stocking sts with WS out for folding edge over cutting edge of body. Assembly: Sew in a marking thread down the middle of inc sts on each side. Sew two seams on sewing machine around marking thread, 1st seam = 1/2 sts from 1st st from thread, 2nd seam = 1/2 sts from 1st seam. Cut up for armhole. Sew shoulder seams. Pick up approx 110 sts around neck on needle size 2.5 mm with navy and knit 2.5 mm stocking sts, change to red, 1 round stocking sts, P1 round, 2.5 cm stocking sts, cast off, fold towards WS and sew.
