Buon lavoro!

I don't understand how to make the straps. Is there any video that shows exactly how to make the straps ?
23.02.2023 - 03:11DROPS Design answered:
Dear Loredana, crochet loosely 6 chain rows each approx. 120 cm then insert them in one side of the bag around the row of dc (US-English) and tie one end together leaving 4 cm end (for fringes), and braid these 6 strands (with 3 bunches of each 2 chain rows) until plait measure approx. 68 cm. Insert 3 of the 6 strands around the row of dc and knot all 6 strands together into a knot. Work another similar strap - both straps should be 15 cm from each other (in the middle of the bag). Happy finishing!

According to the french translation (and also to the photos) instead of double crochet around chain spaces you should do a single crochet... Is it possible to check?
20.10.2022 - 23:08DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Dia Pinheiro, make sure you are following the crochet English language since a US-single crochet is a UK-double crochet - read more here. Happy crocheting!

Crochet bag / shopping net in DROPS Paris. Piece is crocheted with lace pattern.
DROPS 229-1 |
|
---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- CHAIN STITCHES: If you work at the end of crochet hook the chain stitch will often be too tight. 1 chain stitch should be just as long as 1 treble crochet is wide. CROCHET INFORMATION: At the beginning of every round with treble crochets work 3 chain stitches to replace first treble crochet, i.e. skip 1st treble crochet from previous round. Finish round with 1 slip stitch in 3rd chain stitch at beginning of round. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- SHOPPING NET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Begin with a circle with treble crochets in the base, then work chain spaces to form the net. Then work chain stitch row that are plaited together and forms the straps. BASE: Work 4 CHAIN STITCHES – read explanation above, with hook size 4.5 mm and DROPS Paris and form a ring with 1 slip stitch in first chain stitch - read CROCHET INFORMATION! ROUND 1: Work 12 treble crochets around the ring. ROUND 2: Work 2 treble crochets in every treble crochet = 24 stitches. ROUND 3: Work * 2 treble crochets in first stitch, 1 treble crochet in next stitch *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 36 stitches. ROUND 4: Work * 2 treble crochets in first stitch, 1 treble crochet in each of the next 2 treble crochets *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 48 stitches. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! ROUND 5: Work * 2 treble crochets in first stitch, 1 treble crochet in each of the next 3 treble crochets *, repeat from *-* the entire round = 60 stitches. Piece measures approx. 12 cm in diameter. NET: Then work chain spaces to form the net as follows: ROUND 1: Work 2 chain stitches, * skip 1 stitch, 1 double crochet in next stitch, 2 chain stitches *, work from *-* the entire round, finish with 1 slip stitch around the first 2 chain stitches on round = 30 chain spaces. ROUND 2: Work 3 chain stitches, insert a marker in these 3 chain stitches (1st chain space). This is done to make it easier to see where 1st chain space is when continuing. Then work * 1 double crochet around next chain space, 3 chain stitches *, work from *-* until 1st chain space and finish with 1 slip stitch around this chain space. ROUND 3: Work 4 chain stitches, move the marker to these chain stitches (1st chain space). Work * 1 double crochet around next chain space, 4 chain stitches *, work from *-* until 1st chain space and finish with 1 slip stitch around this chain space. ROUND 4: Work 5 chain stitches, move the marker to these chain stitches (1st chain space). Work * 1 double crochet around next chain space, 5 chain stitches *, work from *-* until 1st chain space and finish with 1 slip stitch around this chain space. ROUND 5: Work 6 chain stitches, move the marker to these chain stitches (1st chain space). Work * 1 double crochet around next chain space, 6 chain stitches *, work from *-* until 1st chain space and finish with 1 slip stitch around this chain space. ROUND 6: Work 7 chain stitches, move the marker to these chain stitches (1st chain space). Work * 1 double crochet around next chain space, 7 chain stitches *, work from *-* until 1st chain space and finish with 1 slip stitch around this chain space. Work as 6th round (i.e. all chain spaces have 7 chain stitches) until piece measures 34 cm, measured flat. Now work 2 rounds with treble crochets as follows: EDGE: ROUND 1: Work 4 treble crochets around every chain space from previous round = 120 treble crochets. ROUND 2: Work 1 treble crochet in every treble crochet. STRAPS: Work 6 loose chain stitch rows approx. 120 cm along. Pull half of the rows through first round with treble crochet after the net, and tie them together with the other chain stitch rows - let the ends be approx. 4 cm after knot (fringes). Tie a knot at the end of each fringe and make them even by cutting. Then plait the rows together until plait measures approx. 68 cm (do not plait too tightly). Pull half of the rows through first round with treble crochet in opposite side of piece, and tie all rows together. Make knots and fringes the same way in this side. Make another strap, fasten it approx. 15 cm from where the first strap is fastened in each side. |
