Hej Anna. Ja du fortsätter då med brun och räta maskor tills arbetet mäter 29 cm då du stickar "nästa varv stickas såhär".. Mvh DROPS Design

Help.\r\nI have completed up to here:- slip the next 47-52-56-57-60-63 stitches on a stitch holder for sleeve, cast on 8-8-8-10-10-10 new stitches on needle (= in the side under sleeve). Should I join yarn to cast on the 8 sts after or cast on the new 8sts before those on the stitch holder?
12.12.2021 - 13:14DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mrs Duddridge, you will slip the stitches for sleeve on a stitch holder and cast on the new 8 sts instead - this lesson shows from picture 10 how you will put the stitches for sleeve aside (on a thread/stitch holder) and cast on the new 8 sts mid under sleeve. Happy knitting!

Hi. Thank you for the reply to my question. I now have another! Working the A1 pattern for the sweater, the 18th row shows the colours as being 'wheat & off-white'. But the previous 2 rows (16 & 17) are 'black & off-white')!Should row 18 be the same? This would then make a 'cross pattern' of black against the off-white... Thanking you for your support. Richard
03.12.2021 - 10:15DROPS Design answered:
Dear Mr Duddridge, the row 16 &17 are worked with off-whte and black - the row 18 will be worked with off white and brown (the next rows will be also with off-white and brown)., ie the top of the "cross" will be in brown, not in black. Happy knitting!

Knitted jumper with round yoke in DROPS Air. Piece is knitted top down with Nordic pattern. Size: S - XXXL

---------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ---------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagram A.1. NOTE! To make the symbol more visible 2 different symbols are used in diagram. Work both yarn overs twisted on next round to avoid holes. INCREASE TIP-1 (evenly): To calculate how to increase evenly, use the total number of stitches on row (e.g. 84 stitches) and divide stitches by number of increases to be done (e.g. 6) = 14. In this example increase by making 1 yarn over after every 14th stitch. On next round knit yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. INCREASE TIP-2 (applies to sides of body): Work until 2 stitches remain before marker thread, 1 yarn over, knit 4 (marker thread is in the middle of these stitches), 1 yarn over. On next round knit yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch. DECREASE TIP (applies to sleeves): Decrease 1 stitch on each side of marker thread as follows: Work until 3 stitches remain before marker thread and knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker thread is between these stitches), slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- JUMPER - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Worked in the round on circular needle, top down. Work sleeves in the round on a short circular needle/double pointed needles. NECK EDGE: Cast on 84-88-92-96-104-108 stitches on circular needle size 4 mm with Black. Knit 1 round. Then work rib (= knit 2/purl 2) for 3 cm. YOKE: Switch to circular needle size 5.5 mm. Knit 1 round while increasing 6-12-13-14-16-22 stitches evenly - read INCREASE TIP-1 (evenly) = 90-100-105-110-120-130 stitches. Knit 3 rows. Now work pattern A.1 (= 5 stitches) on round (= 18-20-21-22-24-26 repetitions in width in total). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When entire A.1 has been worked vertically, there are 216-240-252-264-288-312 stitches on round. Piece measures approx. 24 cm from cast-on edge and down. Continue with brown until piece measures 25-27-29-31-33-35 cm, AT THE SAME TIME when piece measures 24-25-27-29-31-33 cm, increase 0-0-8-10-12-14 stitches evenly – remember INCREASE TIP-1 = 216-240-260-274-300-326 stitches. Work next round as follows: Work the first 30-34-37-40-45-50 stitches (= half back piece), slip the next 47-52-56-57-60-63 stitches on a stitch holder for sleeve, cast on 8-8-8-10-10-10 new stitches on needle (= in the side under sleeve), work the next 61-68-74-80-90-100 stitches (= front piece), slip the next 47-52-56-57-60-63 stitches on a stitch holder (= sleeve), cast on 8-8-8-10-10-10 new stitches on needle (= in the side under sleeve), work the remaining 31-34-37-40-45-50 stitches (= half back piece). Finish body and sleeves separately. NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE! BODY: = 138-152-164-180-200-220 stitches. Insert a marker thread in each side, in the middle of the 8-8-8-10-10-10 new stitches cast-on under sleeves (= 4-4-4-5-5-5 new stitches on each side of marker thread). Continue in the round with brown and in stocking stitch. When piece measures 4 cm, increase 1 stitch on each side of marker thread in each side - READ INCREASE TIP-2. Repeat increase when piece measures 16 cm = 146-160-172-188-208-228 stitches. When piece measures 27 cm, increase 22-24-24-28-28-32 stitches evenly = 168-184-196-216-236-260 stitches. Switch to circular needle size 4 mm. Work rib = knit 2/purl 2 for 4 cm. Cast off stitches with knit over knit and purl over purl. Jumper measures approx. 56-58-60-62-64-66 cm from shoulder and down mid front. SLEEVE: Slip the 47-52-56-57-60-63 stitches from stitch holder in one side of piece on a short circular needle/double pointed needles size 5.5 mm and pick in addition up 1 stitch in each of the 8-8-8-10-10-10 new stitches cast on under sleeve with brown= 55-60-64-67-70-73 stitches. Insert 1 marker thread in the middle the 8-8-8-10-10-10 new stitches (= 4-4-4-5-5-5 new stitches on each side of marker thread). Begin round here and work in stocking stitch in the round with brown. When piece measures 4-4-4-4-4-5 cm from division, decrease 2 stitches under sleeve - READ DECREASE TIP. Decrease like this every 3-2½-2-2-2-1½ cm 10-12-13-13-14-15 times in total = 35-36-38-41-42-43 stitches. When piece measures 37-36-34-33-31-30 cm, increase 5-4-6-7-6-9 stitches evenly = 40-40-44-48-48-52 stitches. Switch to double pointed needles size 4 mm. Work rib (knit 2/purl 2) for 4 cm. Sleeve measures 41-40-38-37-35-34 cm in total from division. Work the other sleeve the same way. |
