30.11.2021 - 11:27DROPS Design answered:

12.11.2021 - 07:32DROPS Design answered:
Liebe Frau Engelstädter, Sie stricken zuerst alle Maschen im Muster wie im diagram gezeigt: A.1b (= 6 Reihen) entweder 1 Mal (4 ersten Größen) oder 2 Mal (2 größeren Größen = 12 Reihen) in der Höhe, dann stricken Sie die 6 Reihen A.1c = einmal in der Höhe. Kann das Ihnen helfen? Viel Spaß beim stricken!

In the second paragraph of the yoke pattern it says to work stockinette st over the first 71 stiches while dropping 10 stitches. Does that mean I should have 71 stitches after the decrease or should I have 61 after the decrease?
20.10.2017 - 03:15DROPS Design answered:
Dear Merlin, that's right, work the first 71 sts dec 10 sts evenly = 61 sts remain for half back piece. Happy knitting!

I am confused--in the yoke I am not sure how many times to work A.1c . It says to repeat A.1b 1 time, then repeat A1c 1 time total. does that mean I knit a1c and repeat it once or do I only knit once?
13.10.2017 - 06:49DROPS Design answered:
Dear Scott, under yoke you work A.1C 1 time in height in total in all sizes, ie work the 6 rows in A.1C then work A.1d either 1 or 2 times in height depending on the size. Happy knitting!

GARTER ST (worked in the round): 1 ridge = 2 rounds. * K 1 round and P 1 round *, repeat from *-*. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.2. INCREASE TIP-1: Inc 1 st by making 1 YO. On next round work YO twisted to avoid holes. INCREASE TIP-2: Work until 1 st remains before marker, 1 YO, K 3 (marker is in the middle of these sts), 1 YO (= 2 sts inc), work until 2 sts remain before next marker, 1 YO, K 3, 1 YO (= 4 sts inc in total on round). Do not work YOs twisted on next round, they should make holes. DECREASE TIP: Work until 3 sts remain before marker, K the next 2 sts tog, K 2 (marker is in the middle of these sts), slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso (= 2 sts dec). ---------------------------------------------------------- YOKE: Worked in the round, top down. Cast on 126-130-138-138-148-156 sts on circular needle size 2.5 mm with BabyAlpaca Silk. Work 2 ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above, AT THE SAME TIME inc 0-5-15-24-23-33 sts evenly on last round - READ INCREASE TIP-1 = 126-135-153-162-171-189 sts. Switch to circular needle size 3 mm. Work A.1 (= 9 sts) 14-15-17-18-19-21 times in total in width. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION When A.1a has been worked 1 time vertically, there are 322-345-391-414-437-483 sts on needle. Then work pattern vertically as follows: Repeat A.1b 1-1-1-1-2-2 times in total, then repeat A.1c 1 time in total, repeat A.1d 1-1-1-2-2-2 times in total, repeat A.1e 1 time in total, repeat A.1f 0-0-1-1-1-2 times in total = 378-405-459-486-513-567 sts on needle. Piece measures approx. 18-18-20-21-23-24 cm vertically. Then work as follows: Work in stocking st over the first 51-57-67-71-76-86 sts (= half back piece) AT THE SAME TIME dec 7-7-10-10-9-12 sts evenly, slip the next 87-89-96-101-104-111 sts on a stitch holder (= sleeve), cast on 10 sts under sleeve, insert 1 marker in the middle of the new sts, stocking st over the next 102-113-133-142-153-173 sts (= front piece) AT THE SAME TIME dec 14-13-19-20-19-25 sts evenly, slip the next 87-89-96-101-104-111 sts on a stitch holder (= sleeve), cast on 10 sts under sleeve, insert 1 marker in the middle of the new sts, stocking st over the next 51-57-67-71-76-86 sts (= half back piece) AT THE SAME TIME dec 7-7-10-10-9-12 sts evenly = 196-220-248-264-288-316 sts (= 98-110-124-132-144-158 sts between each marker). BODY: Insert 1 marker in piece, NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE. Work in stocking st. When 3 rounds in stocking st have been worked, inc 1 st on each side of each marker - READ INCREASE TIP-2. Repeat inc every 4th round until piece measures 37-39-39-40-40-41 cm from marker = approx. 312-344-372-392-416-448 sts in total (= approx. 156-172-186-196-208-224 sts between each marker). Switch to circular needle size 2.5 mm. Work A.2 over all sts. Cast off. Piece measures approx. 58-60-62-64-66-68 cm in total. SLEEVE: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. Slip the 87-89-96-101-104-111 sts from stitch holder in one side of piece back on double pointed needles size 3 mm and cast in addition on 10 new sts mid under sleeve = 97-99-106-111-114-121 sts. Insert 1 marker in the middle of the new sts. Work stocking st and on first round dec 15-13-14-15-14-15 sts evenly = 82-86-92-96-100-106 sts. When piece measures 3 cm, dec 1 st on each side of marker - READ DECREASE TIP, repeat dec every 1½ cm 10-11-13-12-12-12 more times = 60-62-64-70-74-80 sts. When piece measures 26-26-25-25-24-23 cm (NOTE: Shorter measurements in the larger sizes because of longer yoke) switch to double pointed needles size 2.5 mm. Work A.2 over all sts. Cast off. Piece measures 29-29-28-28-27-26 cm in total. Work the other sleeve the same way. ASSEMBLY: Sew the opening under the sleeves. |
