GARTER ST (in the round): 1 garter = 2 rounds *K 1 round and P 1 round*, repeat from *-*. GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows. PATTERN: See diagram M.1 - M.3. DECREASE TIP: Dec as follows after M.1: Slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso. Dec as follows 2 sts before M.1: K 2 tog. INCREASE TIP: Inc with 1 YO on each side of M.1 in each side. On next round K YO twisted, i.e. work in the back loop of st instead of front to avoid holes. -------------------------------------------------------- TOP: Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 218-246-260-288-316-344 sts on circular needle size 3 mm with Muskat or Belle. Work as follows: M.1 (= 15 sts), * K 3, P 4 *, repeat from *-* a total of 13-15-16-18-20-22 times, K 3, M.1 (= 15 sts), repeat from *-* a total of 13-15-16-18-20-22 times, finish with K 3. Continue with M.1 in each side and rib until piece measures 3 cm. Switch to circular needle size 3.5 mm. Work next round as follows: M.1 in the side as before, K until next M.1 while AT THE SAME TIME dec 21-23-24-27-28-29 sts evenly, M.1 in the side as before, K the remaining sts on round while AT THE SAME TIME dec 21-23-24-27-28-29 sts evenly = 176-200-212-234-260-286 sts. Continue with M.1 in each side and stocking st over the remaining sts. NOTE! REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 5 cm, dec 1 st each side of M.1 in each side - READ DECREASE TIP! Repeat dec on every 12th-10th-10th-10th-10th-10th round a total of 4-5-5-5-5-5 times = 160-180-192-214-240-266 sts. When piece measures 22 cm, inc 1 st each side of M.1 in each side - READ INCREASE TIP! Repeat inc every 5th-5th-6th-6th-7th-7th round a total of 7 times = 188-208-220-242-268-294 sts. When piece measures 36-38-39-41-42-44 cm, dec 1 st in every P section of M.1 (dec by P 2 sts tog a total of 3 times in every M.1) = 182-202-214-236-262-288 sts. Work next round as follows: Cast off the first 12 sts (= M.1) for armhole with K over K and P over P, K the next 79-89-95-106-119-132 sts, cast off the next 12 sts (= M.1) for armhole with K over K and P over P, K the next 39-44-47-53-59-66 sts, insert a marker before next st (= mid back, beg round from here) = 158-178-190-212-238-264 sts on the round. Switch to circular needle size 3 mm. YOKE: K the first 40-45-48-53-60-66 sts, loosely cast on 51-54-61-63-63-63 new sts over the armhole, K the next 79-89-95-106-119-132 sts, loosely cast on 51-54-61-63-63-63 new sts over next armhole, K the remaining sts on the round until mid back = 260-286-312-338-364-390 sts. Work M.2 (= 13 sts) over all sts. When M.2 has been worked vertically, 220-242-264-286-308-330 sts remain on needle. Work next round as follows: * M.3 (= 3 sts), P 8 *, repeat from *-* the entire round. AT THE SAME TIME when 5-5-6-6-8-8 rounds have been worked after last dec in M.2, dec 1 st in the left side of every P section. Repeat dec alternately in right and left side of every P section on every 5th-5th-6th-6th-8th-8th round a total of 3 times = 160-176-192-208-224-240 sts. When M.3 has been worked a total of 3-3-4-4-5-5 times vertically, continue to work as follows: Rib K 3/P 5 for 3 rounds, then dec 1 P st in every P section as before = 140-154-168-182-196-210 sts. Continue with rib K 3/P 4. When 3 rounds with rib K 3/P 4 have been worked, cast off with K over K and P over P. The entire garment now measures approx. 50-52-54-56-58-60 cm. |
