BAG: COLOURS OF SQUARES: Crochet squares in 10 different colour combinations. Colour-4 is navy blue in all squares. A (2 pcs): Colour-1: jeans blue, colour-2: light turquoise, colour-3: peach. B (2 pcs): Colour-1: peach, colour-2: jeans blue, colour-3: light yellow C (2 pcs): Colour-1: navy blue, colour-2: pink, colour-3: light blue/purple D (2 pcs): Colour-1: light turquoise, colour-2: light ice blue, colour-3: pink E (2 pcs): Colour-1: navy blue, colour-2: light blue/purple, colour-3: light turquoise F (2 pcs): Colour-1: jeans blue, colour-2: peach, colour-3: light ice blue G (2 pcs): Colour-1: pink, colour-2; jeans blue, colour-3: light ice blue H (2 pcs): Colour-1: light yellow, colour-2: light ice blue, colour-3: jeans blue I (2 pcs): Colour-1: light turquoise, colour-2: light yellow, colour-3: light blue/purple J (1 pcs): Colour-1: light blue/purple, colour-2: light turquoise, colour-3: jeans blue = a total of 19 squares. ROUND 4 (colour-3): * In first ch-loop crochet: 2 dc, 1 htr, 1 tr and 1 dtr, then 1 dtr in dc (= corner), in next ch-loop crochet: 1 dtr, 1 tr, 1 htr and 2 dc *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in first dc. ROUND 5: (colour-4): Crochet 1 dc in each st from previous round, but in dtr in all corners crochet 4 dc = a total of 56 dc round the square, finish with 1 sl st in first dc, cut the thread. ASSEMBLY: Crochet the squares tog with navy blue from RS as follows: Place 2 squares WS towards WS and crochet tog with dc through both layers. See M.1 for the order of squares – first crochet tog all the squares diagonally in one direction and then in the other direction. The broken lines show how to fold the piece. See M.2 for how the bag should look after having been folded – now crochet tog the openings, except the opening marked by the line at the top of squares A and B. Crochet a row of dc along the opening at the top, i.e. by the line along squares A and B. STRAP: Crochet 4 ch with navy blue, turn and crochet 1 dc in 2nd ch from hook, then 1 dc in each of the last 2 ch = 3 dc in total. Turn each row with 1 ch and crochet 1 dc in each dc until strap measures approx 35 cm, cut the thread. Make 1 more strap in the same way. Sew 1 strap to each side of bag at the top by squares A and B. -------------------------------------------------------- MOBILE PHONE POCKET: Crochet 2 squares as described below. Choose your favourite 2 colour combinations from the bag! SQUARE: Crochet 4 ch with colour-1 and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. ROUND 1 (colour-1): 1 ch, then 6 dc in ch-ring, finish with 1 sl st in ch from beg of round. ROUND 2 (colour-2): 1 sl st in first dc, * 2 ch, in the same dc as the sl st crochet 2 tr, but wait with the last pull-through on each tr until they have both been crochet, make 1 YO and pull thread through all 3 loops on hook, 2 ch, 1 sl st in the same dc as the 2 tr, 1 sl st in next dc *, repeat from *-* in all dc from previous round = 6 leaves. ROUND 3 (colour-3): 1 dc at the top of first leaf, * 4 ch, 1 dc at the top of next leaf *, repeat from *-* and finish with 1 sl st in first dc. ROUND 4 (colour-3): * In first ch-loop crochet: 2 dc, 1 htr, 1 tr and 1 dtr, then crochet 1 dtr in dc (= corner), in next ch-loop crochet: 5 dtr, then crochet 1 dtr in dc (= corner), in next ch-loop crochet: 1 dtr, 1 tr, 1 htr and 2 dc *, repeat from *-* 1 more time, finish with 1 sl st in first dc. You now have an oblong square. ROUND 5: (colour-4): Crochet 1 dc in each st from previous round, but in dtr in all corners crochet 4 dc = a total of 46 dc round the square, finish with 1 sl st in first dc, cut the thread. ASSEMBLY: Place the 2 squares on top of each other and crochet tog with dc and navy blue along both the long sides and the one short side. Now crochet 4 rounds with dc and navy blue round the opening by the other short side. Crochet next round as follows: 1 dc, * 1 ch, skip 1 dc, 1 dc in next dc *, repeat from *-*. Now crochet 1 round with 1 dc in each dc and 1 dc in each ch, cut the thread. Cut 2 threads navy blue measuring approx 120 cm each, twist them hard, fold them double, and let them twist again. Tie a knot each end thread the string through the eyelet row at the top. |
