HAT: PATTERN: See diagram M.1 (= 24 sts). Diagram shows the pattern from RS. -------------------------------------------------------- HAT: Worked in the round on circular needle (change to double pointed needles when sts no longer fit circular needle). Cast on 116-144 sts on circular needle size 3 mm with charcoal grey. Work rib K2/P2. When rib measures 3 cm K 1 round, AT THE SAME TIME dec 20-24 sts evenly = 96-120 sts. Change to circular needle size 4 mm and continue in stocking st. When piece measures 4 cm work M.1 (= 24 sts) 4-5 times across the round. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! After 1 vertical repeat of M.1, K 1 round with charcoal grey, AT THE SAME TIME dec 6-0 sts evenly = 90-120 sts. Insert 9-12 markers in piece with 10-10 sts between each marker. When piece measures 18-19 cm dec 1 st to the right of each marker, and repeat the dec on every 1 cm a total of 6-7 times = 36-36 sts. Now K2 tog across the round = 18-18 sts. Cut the thread and pull it through remaining sts. Piece measures approx 24-26 cm. -------------------------------------------------------- NECK WARMER: PATTERN: See diagram M.2 (= 24 sts). Continue in rib K2/P4. Repeat the dec when piece measures 3 cm and 5 cm = 180 sts. Continue in rib K2/P2 until piece measures 6 cm. K 1 round, AT THE SAME TIME dec 36 sts evenly = 144 sts. Change to circular needle size 4 mm and continue in stocking st. When piece measures 7 cm work M.2 (= 24 sts) a total of 6 times across the round. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
