Hallo, wird die Mütze ab Bündchen gemessen mit 24 cm oder vom Patentmuster an?

Das Maß bezieht sich auf die Gesamthöhe, also ab dem Anschlag. Viel Spaß beim Weiterstricken!

I've gotten to the final stripe and knitted 1 1/8" in K1 P1 ribbing. The last step before weaving in the ends says to knit one row of Stockinette while also K2tog across, which leaves me with 47 plus one extra stitch on the end since I started with an uneven number. Do I now cut the yarn and pull it through all 48 stitches before sewing together the edges? That seems like a lot of stitches to weave through, so I wanted to double check before I cut the yarn.

Dear Nicky, you can work 1 more row dec all sts 2 by 2 if you rather get less sts at the end. Happy knitting!

Sorry, I tried to say 95 sts /2.1= appr. 45 cm.

The hat really is very small if done following the instructions. If you have a gauge of 21 sts / 10 cm (with English rib and 4 mm needles) and cast on 95 sts, you will not have a hat with a 58 cm circumference, but with a 45 cm one (2.1 X 95 = 45). Next I'll cast on 141 sts with 3 mm needles and see what happens.

I have started this hat with correct needles and it is very small. You sure needles are 3 mm and 4 mm? I'm trying the large size, 95 stitches, and it is very small.
13.11.2014 - 04:24DROPS Design answered:
Dear Carmen, needle size is just a suggestion, remember to check your gauge, you should have 21 sts x 28 rows in English rib = 10 x 10 cm / 4’’ x 4’’ - take smaller/larger needle if necessary to get the correct tension. Happy knitting!

The pattern states: 'Now work 1 row stocking st in the same colour, at the same time K2 tog across the row'. Stocking st is alternate rows of knit & purl, but as I need to K2 together across the row I obviously need to knit this entire row. Is this correct? Also I am assuming I need to continue to do a knit st at each outer edge on this decrease row?
30.01.2013 - 10:59DROPS Design answered:
Dear Renee, after 3 cm rib K1/P1, adjust to work next row from RS and K 1 row, at the same time K2 tog accross. Happy knitting!

Hi, Is it possible to knit this in the round on circular needles? And if so, would the number of stitches need to be adjusted in any way? I would like to knit the size Large. I started knitting the ribbed band (k1, p1),in the round but it seems quite narrow?

GARTER ST (back and forth on needle): K all rows. ENGLISH RIB (back and forth on needle): Row 1: 1 garter st, * K1, 1 YO, slip next st as if to P *, repeat from *-* until 2 sts remain, finish with K1 and 1 garter st. Row 2: 1 garter st, * 1 YO, slip 1 st as if to P, K tog YO and slipped st*, repeat from *-* until 2 sts remain, finish with 1 YO, slip 1 st as if to P, 1 garter st. Row 3: 1 garter st, * K tog YO and slipped st, 1 YO, slip 1 st as if to P * repeat from *-* until 3 sts remain, K tog YO and slipped st, 1 garter st. Repeat row 2 and 3. -------------------------------------------------------- HAT: Worked back and forth on circular needle. Cast on 89-95 sts on circular needle size 3 mm with beige mix Karisma. P 1 row from WS and continue as follows from RS: 1 GARTER ST – see above, rib K1/P1 until 2 sts remain, finish with K1 and 1 garter st. When rib measures 3 cm, change to off- white. When rib measures 6 cm (adjust so that last row is from WS) change to beige mix and circular needle size 4 mm. Now continue in ENGLISH RIB on next row from RS – see above! AT THE SAME TIME change colour on every 3 cm until finished measurements (adjust so that last row in 1 colour is from WS). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 24 cm (adjust to after 1 stripe), change colour, AT THE SAME TIME continue in rib K1/P1 with 1 garter st each side. Continue in rib for 3 cm. Now work 1 row stocking st in the same colour, AT THE SAME TIME K2 tog across the row. Piece now measures approx 28 cm. Cut thread, pull it through remaining sts and sew hat tog, edge to edge. |
