1 rille i høyden = Strikk 2 pinner rett."

1 rille i høyden = Strikk 2 pinner rett".

I have found the answer to my question on English version of the pattern - which is purl/left side out. I was using Polish version while making the slippers and this information is missing - this could be added to make it clear.

Dear Marta, thank you for pointing this out. We're checking now the Polish version and we will correct it if necessary. Happy knitting!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (back and forth): Knit all rows. 1 ridge vertically = knit 2 rows. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- SLIPPERS– SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Work back and forth from the heel and to the toes. When piece is done, sew piece together mid on top of foot and felt in washing machine. SLIPPER: Cast on 9-9-11-11 stitches on needle size 10 mm with 1 strand orange and 1 strand dark grey (= 2 strands). Knit 2 rows while AT THE SAME TIME in each side working 2 stitches in each of the outermost stitches on first row = 11-11-13-13 stitches. Now continue with stocking stitch AT THE SAME TIME increase in each side as follows: Increase 1 stitch 2-2-1-2 times inside the outermost 3 stitches by working 2 stitches in same stitch - increase every other row = 15-15-15-17 stitches. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When piece measures 8½-7½-8½-11 cm work the 2 first stitches together and then the 2 last stiches together = 13-13-13-15 stitches. Continue in stocking stitch with 1 stitch in GARTER STITCH in each side – read explanation above, AT THE SAME TIME increase by working 2 stitches in first stitch and 2 stitches in last stitch on every 2nd row 4-5-5-5 times in total = 21-23-23-25 stitches. Cast on 2 new stitches at the end of last row, turn piece. Work 1 row and cast on 2 new stitches at the end of the row = 25-27-27-29 stitches. Piece measures approx. 15½-16½-17½-20½ cm. Continue in stocking stitch with the outermost 2 stitches in GARTER STITCH until finished measurements. When piece measures 22-23-24-27 cm, work the 5th and 6th stitch together in each side = 23-25-25-27 stitches. When piece measures 28-29-31-34 cm, work the 5th and 6th stitch together in each side = 21-23-23-25 stitches. TOE: Switch to 2 strands orange. Work 1 row. Work the 5th and 6th stitch together in each side = 19-21-21-23 stitches. Work until piece measures approx. 32½-35½-37½-40½ cm (3 rows remain). Work the 6th and 7th stitch together in each side = 17-19-19-21 stitches. Work 1 row. Work next row as follows: 1 stitch in garter stitch, knit 2 together, knit 2 together, 7-9-9-11 stitches, knit 2 together, knit 2 together, 1 stitch in garter stitch = 13-15-15-17 stitches. Cast off by knitting on next row. Piece measures approx. 35-38-40-43 cm. ASSEMBLY: Assemble slipper with purl side out. Sew together seam mid on top of foot in outer loops of edge stitches to avoid a chunky seam! Place cast-off edge (= toe) double with the seam mid on top, and sew toe together in front loop of outermost stitches HEEL EDGE: Fold the 2 outermost stitches along the side under towards right side, and so to make a little edge - stop the seam at the stitches decreased in each side. FELTING: Place the slippers in the washing machine with a detergent without enzymes and optical bleach. Wash at 40 degrees with normal spin but no pre-wash. Put on the slipper and shape it to the correct size while it is still wet. At subsequent wash, wash the slipper as a wool garment. AFTER FELTING: If the piece is not felted enough and is too big: Wash the piece one more time in the washing machine while it is still wet add a terry towel that measures approx. 50 x 70 cm - NOTE: Do not use a short program. If the piece has been felted too much and is too small: While the piece is still wet stretch it to the correct measurements, if the piece is dry, make sure to soak it first. Remember: All subsequent washes are as a normal wool garment. |
