Vh Julie

Hej Julie, det står at A.2 fortsættes ovenpå foden og at A.2 strikkes totalt 9 gange.

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- KNITTING TIP (with double pointed needles): To avoid the stitches in the transitions between needles being too large, always work 3 stitches from the next needle before changing needles; all the transitions between needles are then moved 3 stitches each time. PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 and A.2. DECREASE TIP (evenly spaced): To work out how to decrease evenly, count the total number of stitches on needle (e.g. 66 stitches) and divide by number of decreases to be made (e.g. 6) = 11. In this example decrease by knitting each 10th and 11th stitch together. HEEL DECREASE: ROW 1 (= right side): Knit until there are 7-7-8 stitches left, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, turn the piece. ROW 2 (= wrong side): Purl until there are 7-7-8 stitches left, slip 1 stitch as if to purl, purl 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the purled stitch, turn the piece. ROW 3 (= right side): Knit until there are 6-6-7 stitches left, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch, turn the piece. ROW 4 (= wrong side): Purl until there are 6-6-7 stitches left, slip 1 stitch as if to purl, purl 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the purled stitch, turn the piece. Continue to decrease like this, working until there is 1 stitch less each time before slipping a stitch and until there are 14-14-15 stitches left on the needle. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- SOCKS – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked in the round with double pointed needles, top down - read KNITTING TIP! SOCK: Cast on 66-69-75 stitches with double pointed needles size 2.5 mm and Nord. Knit 1 round. Work A.1 the whole round. On the last round in A.1 decrease 6-6-6 stitches evenly spaced – read DECREASE TIP = 60-63-69 stitches. Continue with A.2. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures 17-18-19 cm – adjust so you finish after round 11, 24 or 37 in A.2, work the next round as follows: Keep the first 13-13-14 stitches on the needle, place the next 34-37-40 stitches on 1 thread (= top of foot) and keep the last 13-13-15 stitches on the needle = 26-26-29 stitches for the heel. Work stocking stitch back and forth over these heel stitches for 5-5½-6 cm. Now work HEEL DECREASE – read description above. After the heel decrease, knit up 11-13-14 stitches on each side of the heel and the 34-37-40 stitches from the thread are placed back on the needles = 70-77-83 stitches. Work A.2 as before over the 34-37-40 stitches on top of the foot, the other stitches are worked in stocking stitch. AT THE SAME TIME decrease in each side as follows: Knit together the last 2 stitches before the 34-37-40 stitches on top of the foot, and knit twisted together the first 2 stitches after these 34-37-40 stitches on top of the foot (i.e. knit in the back loop rather than the front loop). Decrease like this every 2nd round a total of 9-10-10 times = 52-57-63 stitches. When all the decreases are finished, continue with stocking stitch under the foot and A.2 on top of the foot until you have worked a total of 9-9-10 sections with rib in height (i.e. A.2 has been worked a total of 3 times in height and in size 41/43 the first 11 rounds in A.2 have been worked in addition). Then finish working just the first 5 rounds in A.2. Now work rib (= knit 1, purl 2) over the middle 34-37-40 stitches on top of the foot (the other stitches are continued in stocking stitch). Work until the piece measures 18-19-21 cm from the heel-edge (there is approx. 4-5-6 cm left to finished length). Insert 1 marker thread in each side (26-29-31 stitches on top of the foot and 26-28-32 stitches under the foot). Continue working stocking stitches over all stitches. AT THE SAME TIME decrease on each side of both marker threads as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker thread sits between these 2 stitches), knit 2 twisted together. Decrease like this every 2nd round a total of 3-6-7 times and then every round a total of 7-5-5 times = 12-13-15 stitches. On the next round knit 0-1-1 stitch, then knit the remaining stitches together, 2 and 2 = 6-7-8 stitches. Cut the strand and thread it through the remaining stitches, tighten and fasten well. Work the other sock in the same way. |
