Hola Loli.

STRIPES: When you have worked 3-4-5-5-5-6 cm with 2 strands off white continue as follows: 6-6-6-6-7-7 cm with 1 strand off white and 1 strand mint. 3.5 cm with 1 strand off white and 1 strand orange. 8-8-8-9-9-9 cm with 1 strand off white and 1 strand desert rose. 3.5 cm with 1 strand off white and 1 strand strong yellow. 2 cm with 1 strand off white and 1 strand sage green. 6-6-6-7-7-7 cm with 1 strand off white and 1 strand mint. 5 cm with 1 strand off white and 1 strand raspberry. 3.5 cm with 1 strand off white and 1 strand orange. 5 cm with 1 strand off white and 1 strand desert rose. Then work with 2 strands off white to finished length. DECREASE TIP-1 (for sides of body): Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before marker thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch. DECREASE TIP-2 (for armholes and neck): All decreases are worked from the right side! Decrease on inside of 3 edge stitches in garter stitch. Decrease as follows after the 3 edge stitches: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over. Decrease as follows before the 3 edge stitches: Knit 2 together. BUTTONHOLES (from bottom upwards): Work buttonholes on right band (i.e. at beginning of row seen from the right side). 1 BUTTONHOLE = Knit 3rd and 4th stitch from the edge together and make 1 yarn over. On the next row knit the yarn over = hole. Work buttonholes when the piece measures: S: 5, 14, 23, 32 and 41 cm M: 6, 15, 24, 33 and 42 cm L: 7, 16, 25, 34 and 43 cm XL: 8, 17, 26, 35 and 44 cm XXL: 5, 15, 25, 35 and 45 cm XXXL: 6, 16, 26, 36 and 46 cm ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- TOP - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece is worked back and forth with circular needle as far as the armholes. Then the front and back pieces are worked separately. The whole piece is worked with 2 strands Safran. TOP: Cast on 166-178-194-210-230-250 stitches (including 5 band stitches on each side towards mid back) with circular needle size 4.5 mm and 2 strands off white. Work 2 RIDGES – read description above. Change to circular needle size 5 mm and insert a marker thread 44-47-51-55-60-65 stitches in from each side (= 78-84-92-100-110-120 stitches between marker threads for front piece). Then work stocking stitch with 5 band stitches in garter stitch on each side towards mid back. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When the piece measures 3-4-5-5-5-6 cm continue with STRIPES – read description above. Remember the BUTTONHOLES – read description above. When the piece measures 12 cm decrease 1 stitch on each side of both marker threads – read DECREASE TIP-1 (= 4 stitches decreased). Repeat this decrease every 10-10-10.-12-12-12 cm a total of 3 times = 154-166-182-198-218-238 stitches. When the piece measures 42-43-44-45-46-47 cm work 2 ridges over the middle 12-14-16-20-24-28 stitches on each side, i.e. 6-7-8-10-12-14 stitches on each side of both marker threads (= under sleeves); the remaining stitches are worked as before. On the next row from the right side after the ridges cast off the middle 6-8-10-14-18-22 stitches on both sides for the armholes and the front and back pieces are finished separately. FRONT PIECE: = 66-70-76-80-86-92 stitches. Now work pattern as follows: 3 stitches in garter stitch, 25-27-30-32-35-38 stitches in stocking stitch, 10 stitches in garter stitch, 25-27-30-32-35-38 stitches in stocking stitch, 3 stitches in garter stitch. AT THE SAME TIME on the first row from the right side decrease 1 stitch for the armhole on each side – read DECREASE TIP-2. Decrease like this every 2nd row a total of 4-5-7-8-10-12 times, AT THE SAME TIME when you have worked 2 ridges over the middle 10 stitches on the row, cast off the middle 4 stitches for the neck on the next row and each shoulder is finished separately. Then decrease inside the 3 stitches in garter stitch towards the neck - remember DECREASE TIP-2. Decrease like this every row from the right side a total of 12-12-13-13-14-14 times. When all the decreases for neck and armhole are finished there are 15-16-16-17-17-18 stitches left on the shoulder. When the armhole measures 17-18-19-20-21-22 cm, cast off. The top measures approx. 60-62-64-66-68-70 cm. Work the other shoulder in the same way. LEFT BACK PIECE: = 38-40-43-45-48-51 stitches. Continue back and forth with stripes and 5 band stitches in garter stitch towards mid back and 3 edge stitches in garter stitch towards the armhole. AT THE SAME TIME decrease for the armhole in the same way as on the front piece and when you have worked 2 ridges from where you divided into front and back pieces, cast off the outermost 2 stitches on the band and decrease for the v-neck as follows: Decrease 1 stitch inside the 3 stitches in garter stitch every 2nd row a total of 17-17-18-18-19-19 times. When all the decreases for neck and armhole are finished there are 15-16-16-17-17-18 stitches left on shoulder. Continue until the armhole measures approx. 17-18-19-20-21-22 cm - adjust to match the front piece. Cast off. The whole top measures approx. 60-62-64-66-68-70 cm. RIGHT BACK PIECE: Work as for the left, but in reverse. ASSEMBLY: Sew shoulder seams. Sew buttons onto left band. |
