JUMPER: Knitting tension: 18 sts x 24 rows on needles size 4.5 mm in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm. Moss st: first row: *K1, P1*, repeat from *-*. Second row: P over K, K over P. Repeat second row. Pattern: See diagram. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS side. Front and back piece: Worked in the round on circular needle. Cast on 90-102-114 (126-138) sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm with off-white and work 2 cm moss st. Change to needle size 4.5 mm and work M.1. After M.1 continue in off-white until piece measures 7-8-10 (11-13) cm. Now divide piece in 2 and complete front and back pieces separately back and forth on needle. Front piece: Inc 1 st each side for seam = 47-53-59 (65-71) sts. Now work M.3 on the middle 37 sts with off-white either side. At the same time when piece measures 17-18-19 (20-20) cm cast off each side on every other row to shape the armhole: 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 3-3-3 (3-4) times = 37-43-49 (55-59) sts. After M.3 complete piece in off-white. When piece measures 25-27-29 (31-35) cm cast of the middle 13-13-15 (17-19) sts for neck and cast off to shape the neckline on every other row: 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 1 time. Cast off remaining sts when piece measures 29-31-33 (35-39) cm. Back piece: Inc 1 st each side for seam = 47-53-59 (65-71) sts. Continue in off-white. Cast off for armhole as described for front piece = 37-43-49 (55-59) sts. When piece measures 24-26-28 (30-34) cm cast off 3 sts mid back for split and complete each side separately: Right side: Cast on 3 new sts over split and work these 3 sts in moss st. When piece measures 27-29-31 (33-37) cm cast off towards neckline on every other row: 9-9-10 (11-12) sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time. Cast off remaining sts when piece measures 29-31-33 (35-39) cm. Left side: Cast on 4 new sts over split and work these sts in moss st. When split measures 2 cm cast off the middle 2 sts (of the 4 new sts over split) for buttonhole and cast on 2 new sts on return row. Cast off all sts when piece measures 29-31-33 (35-39) cm. Sleeve: Worked back and forth on pointed needles. Cast on 26-28-32 (32-34) sts on pointed needles size 3.5 mm with off-white and work 2 cm moss st. Change to needle size 4.5 mm and work M.1, at the same time inc 1-3-3 (7-7) sts evenly on row = 27-31-35 (39-41) sts – make sure to place a pattern repeat mid upper arm on all patterns. Now inc 1 st each side a total of 9-8-8 (8-14) times as follows: Size 3 months: on every other row Size 6/9 months: on every 3rd row Size 12/18 months: on every on every 3rd and 4th row alternately Size 2 years: on every 4th row Size 3 years: on every 3rd row = 45-47-51 (55-69) sts – incorporate new sts in pattern as you go along. After M.1 continue as follows: Size 3 + 6/9 + 12/18 months + 2 years: 0.5-1-1-2 cm off-white, M.4, 0.5-2-2-3 cm off-white, M.2 mid upper arm with off-white either side and then complete piece in off-white Size 3 years: 2 cm off-white, M.4, 3 cm off-white, M.2 mid upper arm with off-white either side, 2 cm off-white, M.4 and then complete piece in off-white. When piece measures 11-14-15 (17-20) cm cast off to shape the sleeve cap on every other row: 5 sts 1 time, 4 sts 2 times. Cast off, piece measures approx 15-18-19 (21-24) cm. Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Fasten split at bottom and sew on button. Pick up 68-72 sts round the neck on needle size 3.5 mm with off-white and work 1 cm moss st, cast off. Sew sleeve seams and set in sleeves. Now crochet a border with crochet hook size 3.5 mm with dusty pink round bottom edge, sleeve edges and neckline as follows: 1 dc, *3 ch, 1 dc in first ch, skip 1 st, 1 dc*. Sew back stitches with salmon on M.3 – see diagram. ------------------------------------------------------- SHORTS: Size: 3 – 6/9 – 12/18 months (2 – 3) years DROPS circular needle and double pointed needles size 2.5 mm and 3 mm Knitting tension: 24 sts x 32 rows on needles size 3 mm in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm. Moss st: first row *K1, P1*, second row P over K and K over P. Repeat second row. Right leg: Cast on 58-62-62 (68-68) sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with pink Safran and work 2 cm moss st. Change to double pointed needles size 3 mm and continue in stocking st, at the same time inc 20-22-22 (22-22) sts evenly on first round = 78-84-84 (90-90) sts. When piece measures 4-5-6 (7-8) cm divide piece at inside leg (= split) and complete piece back and forth on needle. Inc 1 st each side for seam = 80-86-86 (92-92) sts. When piece measures 6-7-8 (9-10) cm cast off 4 sts each side = 72-78-78 (84-84) sts. Put piece aside and knit the other leg. Left leg: knit like right leg. Trousers: Put both legs in on the same circular needle = 144-156-156 (168-168) sts, at the same time inc 1 st in the last st on each leg = 146-158-158 (170-170) sts. Now inc mid back on both sides of the middle 2 sts on every 3rd round: 1 st 3 times, at the same time dec mid front on every 3rd round on both sides of the middle 2 sts: 1 st 4 times – dec as follows: K2 tog into back of st, K2 middle sts, K2 tog = 144-156-156 (168-168) sts. When piece measures 23-26-29 (31-32) cm change to needle size 2.5 mm, at the same time dec 14-16-16 (18-18) sts evenly = 130-140-140 (150-150) sts. Work 3 cm stocking st, P 1 round = folding edge, and work 3 cm stocking st, cast off. Fold edge double towards WS and fasten, leave an opening and pull through a ribbon. Assembly: Sew the split on the inside of each leg up to the cast off stitches and then sew the opening between the legs from the mid front to the mid back of the trousers. Crochet a border around both legs on crochet hook size 2.5 mm as follows: 1 dc, *3 ch, 1 dc in first ch, skip 1 st, 1 dc*, repeat from *-*. |
