Knitting tension: 14 sts x 19 rows on needles size 7 mm in stocking sts = 10 x 10 cm Increasing tips: Inc. inside 1st edge st as follows: make a yo, on returning row twist and K (i.e. knit into back part of the yo instead of the front part). Garter all new sts. Back piece: Knit back and forth on circular needles. Cast on 68-73-79-86-94 sts (incl. 1 edge st each side) on circular needles size 7 mm with Symphony. Knit 4 rows of garter sts and continue in stocking sts. When the piece measures 28 and 32 cm cast off 1 st each side = 64-69-75-82-90 sts. When the piece measures 45-46-47-48-49 cm cast on loosely new sts for the sleeves on every other row (i.e. at the end of each row): 3 sts 3-2-3-3-2 times, 4 sts 4-3-2-3-3 times and 6 sts 3-4-4-3-3 times = 150-153-157-160-162 sts. Knit the 2 outer most sts each side in garter sts throughout. Cast off when the piece measures 63-65-67-69-71 cm. Left front: Cast on 37-40-43-46-50 sts (incl. 1 edge st at the side and 5 front band sts at the mid front) on needles size 7 mm with symphony. Knit 4 rows of garter sts over all sts. Please read all of the next section carefully before beginning: Knit in stocking sts, but garter the 5 front band sts at the mid front. When the piece measures 28 and 32 cm cast off at the side as done for the back piece. At the same time when the piece measures 30-31-32-33-34 cm knit 1 more sts into front band (inside the band sts) on every 11-11-8-6-6 cm a total of 3-3-4-5-5 times. At the same time inc. 1 st outer most at the mid front for the collar (garter new sts) on every 3 cm a total of 6-6-6-6-7 times – read increasing tips = 14-14-15-16-17 garter sts. At the same time when the piece measures 45-46-47-48-49 cm cast on new sts loosely for the sleeve at the side as done for the back piece. Remember to garter to outer most 2 sts = 84-86-88-89-91 sts for shoulder/sleeve/collar. When the piece measures 63-65-67-69-71 cm cast off the outer most 67-68-70-69-71 sts for shoulder/sleeve = 17-18-18-20-20 sts left for the collar. Knit in garter sts until the collar measures 12-12-12.5-13-13 cm. Cast off. Right front: Knit as left front but reverse. Assembly: Crochet a edge with hook size 5 mm along the casting off edge for the shoulder/top sleeve part on the front piece, and an edge along the casting off edge for the shoulder/ top sleeve part on the back piece, but do not crochet over the mid 17-18-18-20-20 sts (=neck). 1st row: 1 dc in each st = approx. 67-71 dc, turn 2nd row: 3 ch, 1 tr in each dc, turn. 3rd row: 1 ch, 1 dc in each tr. Sew the shoulder and side seams tog. Sew the side and the underneath seam of the sleeves loosely tog. Crochet an edge around the sleeves the same way as explained above but in addition crochet a 4th row as follows: 1 dc in the first dc *3 ch, 1 tr in the first of the 3 ch’s just crochet, skip 1 dc and a dc in the next dc*. Repeat from *-* and finish with a sl st in the first dc. Sew the collar tog. at the mid back with invisible drafting sts. Sew the collar to the neck line at the nape of the neck – sew in the outer most of the edge to avoid a chunky seam. Belt: Crochet on hook size 5 mm with Symphony at ch string approx 150 cm long. 1st round: 1 tr in the forth ch and continue with 1 tr in each ch. In the last ch crochet 5 tr in the same ch and crochet 1 tr in each ch along the other side. Finish with 5 tr in the last ch and 1 sl st in the third ch from beginning of row = 2 rows of tr. 2nd round: 1 dc in the first tr *3 ch, 1 tr in the first ch just crochet, skip 1 tr, 1 dc in the next tr*, repeat from *-* and finish with a sl st in the first dc. |
