The translations for the Diagrams for all Garnstudio patterns are included within the text of the Pattern itself. If you look within the text, you will find lines starting with an = sign. These are the translations, and they are given in the same vertical order as the chart symbols within the diagram.

Hi Veronica, The charts are translated on all Garnstudio Patterns - but you have to know the system !! Please look in the body of the text for lines starting with an = sign. These are the translations, and they are given in the same vertical order as the symbols appear in the chart. I have sent you a confirmatory e-mail also.

Knitting tension: Remember needle size is only a guide. 23 stitches x 30 rows with needle size 3.5 mm and stocking stitch = 10x10 cm Rib: * K1, P2 *, repeat from *-*. Pattern: See diagrams M.1 and M.2. Diagrams show the pattern seen from the right side. Ridge/Garter stitch (back and forth on needle): 1 ridge = Knit 2 rows. Ridge/Garter stitch (in the round): 1 ridge = 2 rounds. Knit 1 round and purl 1 round. Buttonholes: Work buttonholes on right band as follows from the right side: 2 stitches garter stitch, K1, P1, P2 together, 1 yarn over, P2. On the next row purl the yarn over. Work buttonholes when piece measures: Size S: 2, 11, 19, 27, 36, 45 and 53 cm. Size M: 2, 11, 20, 29, 37, 46 and 55 cm. Size L: 2, 12, 21, 30, 39, 48 and 57 cm Size XL: 2, 11, 21, 30, 40, 49 and 59 cm. Size XXL: 2, 11, 21, 31, 41, 51 and 61 cm. -------------------------------------------------------- Body: The jacket is worked back and forth with circular needle from mid front. Cast on 200-218-236-260-284 stitches (incl. 8 band stitches in each side towards mid front) with circular needle size 3 mm and Alpaca. Purl 3 rows (First row = wrong side), then work rib with 2 stitches garter stitch and 1 knitted stitch in each side (seen from the right side). Remember buttonholes on right band - see description above. When piece measures 3 cm knit 1 row from the right side and knit 1 row from the wrong side - NOTE: The 8 band stitches in each side towards mid front are continued as before with 2 stitches garter stitch, K1, P2, K1 and P2 to finished length. Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm and continue with stocking stitch (and bands as before). Remember the knitting tension. Insert 1 marker thread 54-58-63-69-75 stitches in from each side = 92-102-110-122-134 stitches between marker threads on the back piece. When piece measures 8 cm increase 1 stitch on each side of both marker threads every 5-5-5-7-7 cm a total of 5-5-5-4-4 times = 220-238-256-276-300 stitches. When piece measures 34-35-36-37-38 cm cast off 10-10-10-12-12 stitches in each side for armholes (i.e. 5-5-5-6-6 stitches on each side of marker threads) = 92-102-110-118-130 stitches on back piece and 54-58-63-67-73 stitches on each front piece. Lay the piece to one side and work sleeves. Sleeves: Cast on 60-60-60-66-66 stitches with double pointed needles size 3 mm and Alpaca. Knit 1 round, purl 1 round and knit 1 round, then work rib. When piece measures 10 cm knit 1 round and purl 1 round. Change to double pointed needles size 3.5 mm and continue with stocking stitch. When piece measures 12 cm increase 2 stitches mid under sleeve a total of 9-11-14-13-15 times in Size S: Every 12th round, Size M: Every 9th round, Sizes L + XL: Every 7th round and Size XXL: Every 6th round = 78-82-88-92-96 stitches. When piece measures 46-46-46-45-45 cm cast off 10-10-10-12-12 stitches mid under sleeve = 68-72-78-80-84 stitches. Place stitches on 1 thread and work the other sleeve. Yoke: Place sleeves on same circular needle as body, where you cast off stitches for armholes = 336-362-392-412-444 stitches. Work 2-2-2-2-6 rows stocking stitch (first row from right side). Insert 1 marker thread in all transitions between body and sleeves = 4 marker threads. Then continue with stocking stitch upwards at the same time as you decrease to raglan - see description below - remember buttonholes on band. Decrease as follows from the right side: Before the marker threads: K2 together. After marker threads: Slip 1 stitch as if to knit, K1, pass slipped stitch over. Decrease as follows: Size S: Every 2nd row 2 times Size M: Every 2nd row 2 times Size L: Every 4th row 3 times Size XL: Every 4th row 4 times Size XXL: Every 2nd row 6 times = 320-338-368-380-396 stitches on needle. After the last decrease purl 1 row from the wrong side at the same time as you decrease evenly on row to 316-331-361-376-391 stitches (do not decrease over the bands). The next row is worked as follows from the right side: 8 band stitches as before, M.1 over the next 300-315-345-360-375 stitches and 8 band stitches as before. Then work and decrease according to M.1. After the last decrease there are 136-142-154-160-166 stitches on needle - finish working M.1. Then knit 1 row from the right side at the same time as you decrease evenly on row to 94-98-102-106-110 stitches. Neckline: Change to circular needle size 3 mm and work M.2 (over the bands as well) - first row = wrong side. Then loosely cast off. Fold the neck double towards the wrong side in the top purl row and sew neatly with small stitches - make sure the seam is not tight. Assembly: Sew openings under sleeves. Sew on buttons. Crochet edges: Work 1 row of chain-spaces at top of neck (see arrow in M.2 where the row should be worked), around bottom of yoke (see arrow in M.1) and around bottom of sleeves (work in the cast-on edge). Work with hook size 3.5 mm and Alpaca as follows: 1 double crochet in first stitch, * 5 chain stitches, skip 2 stitches, 1 double crochet in next stitch *, repeat from *-* - NOTE: Do not crochet over the bands on the row worked around the bottom of yoke. |
