Puff stitches - crochet

Try this fun crochet texture - perfect for scarves !
Crochet a band of chains, 2 ch for each puff. In the video we ch 14 for seven puffs. Turn and in 2nd ch from hook work like this: yo, pick up yarn, yo, pick up yarn in same st, yo, pick up yarn again in same st, now 7 loops on hook. yo and pull through all 7 loops, yo, pull through st = 1 puff.
Skip a ch and make a puff in next ch.
Following rows: keep making puffs the same way in the stitch above each puff from previous row.

There are several ways to crochet puff stitches, in this DROPS video we show how to crochet a row of puff stitches without chain stitch on the "top" of the puff stitch and with 3 single crochets between each puff. Repeat the puff stitch and the 3 double crochets the entire row and finish the row with a double crochet in the last stitch, turn and start next row. Crochet 3 chain stitches (= 1 double crochet). Crochet 1 double crochet in each of the stitch all the row out. Repeat these 2 rows in the height. We use the yarn DROPS Snow in the video.
