COLOUR PATTERN:
When switching colour at the beginning of a round, work slip stitch at the end of previous round with the new colour.

Cast on + ROUNDS 1-2: mustard
ROUNDS 3-4: light yellow
ROUND 5: apricot
ROUND 6: rusty red
ROUND 7: grey blue
ROUND 8: raspberry
ROUND 9: mustard
ROUND 10: grey blue
ROUND 11: vanilla
ROUND 12: apricot
ROUNDS 13-14: raspberry
ROUND 15: rusty red
ROUND 16: apricot
ROUNDS 17-18: raspberry

CARPET:
Piece is worked in the round in a circle from centre and outwards with 3 strands Paris.

Begin with hook size 8 mm and 3 strands mustard. Work STRIPES - see explanation above, and PATTERN in the round as follows:
Work A.1 (shows how round begins and ends), A.2 10 times in total on round - read COLOUR PATTERN!
REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
On last round increase 8 treble crochets evenly = 168 treble crochets. When entire A.1 and A.2 have been worked, piece measures approx. 68 cm in diameter.
Begin on round with arrow in diagrams and work A.3 (shows how round begins and ends), work A.4 14 times in total on round.
When entire A.3 and A.4 have been worked, there are 280 treble crochets on round and piece measures approx. 110 cm in diameter. Fasten off.

Diagram

= work 4 chain stitches and form a ring with 1 slip stitch in first chain stitch made Black dot is beginning of round
= 1 chain stitch
= 3 chain stitches
= 4 chain stitches
= 5 chain stitches
= 1 double crochet around chain stitch/chain space
= 1 double crochet between space between 2 stitches
= 1 double crochet in stitch
= 1 treble crochet around chain stitch ring/chain space
= 1 treble crochet in stitch
= 1 double treble crochet in stitch
= work 4 treble crochets together as follows: Work 1 treble crochet in each of the next 3 treble crochets but wait with last yarn over and pull through on each of the treble crochets, make 1 treble crochet in next treble crochet and pull last yarn over trough all 5 loops on hook
= work 2 and 2 treble crochets together as follows: Work 2 treble crochet around first chain space but wait with last yarn over and pull through on each of the treble crochets, work 1 treble crochet around next chain stitch but wait with last yarn over and pull through, work 1 treble crochet more around same chain stitch and pull last yarn over through all 5 loops on hook
= at beginning of round replace first treble crochet with 3 chain stitches. Finish round with 1 slip stitch in 3rd chain stitch at beginning of round
= at beginning of round begin with 1 chain stitch, this chain stitch does not replace first stitch on round. Finish round with 1 slip stitch in first chain stitch on round
= at beginning of round replace first double crochet with 4 chain stitches. Finish round with 1 slip stitch in 4th chain stitch at beginning of round.
= begin on this round, previous round has already been worked Now work 14 repetitions of A.4 on round
= on this round increase 8 treble crochets evenly = 168 treble crochets

Bonjour, j'aimerais savoir pourquoi lorsque je crochète en rond mon travail fait des plis, il n'est pas plat. Peut être est ce dû au crochet.. mais du coup il faut que je prenne la taille au dessus ou en dessous? Merci de votre réponse

Bonjour Mme Reix, il est possible que cela vienne de votre tension - avez-vous bien le bon échantillon en largeur et en hauteur soit 8 brides x 4.5 rangs avec 3 fils crochetés ensemble = 10 cm de large et 10 cm de hauteur? Si vous avez trop des mailles pour 10 cm, essayez avec un crochet plus gros. Si vous n'avez pas assez des mailles pour 10 cm, essayez avec un crochet plus fin. Bon crochet!
