GARTER ST (in the round on double pointed needles):
1 ridge = 2 rounds. K 1 round and P 1 round.

See diagram A.1.

Worked in the round on double pointed needles.
Cast on 64 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with Baby Merino. Work rib = K 2/P 2 for 4 cm. Switch to double pointed needles size 3 mm. Work 1 ridge in GARTER ST - see explanation above - on first round dec 7 sts evenly = 57 sts. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION
Then work according to A.1 (= 3 repetitions in width). When piece measures approx. 20 cm, work 1 ridge while inc 7 sts evenly = 64 sts. Switch to double pointed needles size 2,5 mm, continue with rib = K 2/P 2 for 4 cm, cast off with K over K and P over P.

Knit another leg warmer.

= K
= P
= slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso
= K 2 tog
= no stitch, skip this square
= 1 YO between 2 sts
= slip 1 st as if to K, K 2, psso

Marianne Olesen 25.11.2016 - 13:25:

Næste pind i diagrammet passer fint, da hvert mønster bruger 19 masker, hvilket går op i 57 masker.

Mary Ellen Johnson 22.10.2016 - 22:03:

On row 3 of the pattern, what does it mean," no stitch, skip this square " The next 2 stitches are purl and remain so through the pattern, so you have to do something with the prior "no stitch". Subsequent squares show something being done on those 3 stitches, either being knitted or slipped and knitted, but this "no stitch" has me 🤔

DROPS Design 24.10.2016 kl. 09:57:

Dear Mrs Johnson, please note that diagrams have to be read from the bottom corner on the right side towards the left on every round (read more here), ie on 1st round, work the 3 sts between P as follows: slip 1 as if to K, K2, pass the slipped st over the K2 (= 2 sts remain). On row 2 you will work: K1, YO, K1 (= 3 sts again). Happy knitting!

Elisabeth 20.10.2016 - 11:13:
