K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 K rows.

DOUBLE STRAND TIP: When using 2 strands of the same color take the strand both from inside and outside of the ball.

Work entire pot holder with 3 strands. Cast on 22 sts with 1 strand base color and 2 strands additional color on needle size 6 mm / US 10.
Work 4 ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above.
Switch to 2 strands base color and 1 strand additional color and work in garter st until piece measures 15 cm / 6''.
Then work next row with inlaid loop as follows:
Work until 2 sts remain.
Before the last 2 sts, cast on 5 new sts on needle, then K the last 2 sts on needle tog.
On next row bind off all sts with K sts (including the new sts for loop).
