100 g (= 2 skeins) color no 56 Christmas red, or use 01 off white.

DROPS CROCHET HOOK size 9 mm / M/13 – or size needed to get 8 dc = 10 cm / 4'' in width.

Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from inches to cm - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in American and British English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in British English, please click here.
Ch 4 on hook size 9 mm / M/13 with Eskimo and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch.
ROUND 1: ch 4 (= 1st tr), work 11 tr in ch-ring, finish with 1 sl st in 4th ch from beg of round = 12 tr.
ROUND 2: ch 4, * ch 3, work 1 tr in next tr, * repeat from *-* finish with ch 3 and 1 sl st in 4th ch from beg of round = 12 loops. Turn piece.
ROUND 3: ch 4, in every loop work: 4 tr, 1 ch. Finish with 1 sl st in 4th ch from beg of round. Turn piece.
ROUND 4: ch 3, * 5 ch, work 1 dc around next ch *, repeat from *-* finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round = 12 loops. Turn piece.
ROUND 5: ch 3, in every loop work: 6 dc, 1 ch. Finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch from beg of round.
Fasten off.

Place the hot pad in the washing machine with a detergent without enzymes and optical bleach together with a towel.
Wash warm at 40C/104F with normal spin but no pre-wash.
After wash shape the hot pad to the right size while still wet and leave to dry flat.
At subsequent wash, wash the hot pad at regular wool program.

Just made this, only needed 50 grams of yarn. Now lets see what happens in the washing machine. Can you put it in with a normal load or does it has to be seperated?

Toller Untersetzer! Allerdings brauchte ich nur ein Knäuel Wolle, also 50 g. Habe sogar noch etwas Wolle davon übrig...

Skal denne hekles med dobbelt garn ? Jeg prøvde denne, og brukte akkurat et nøste og ikke to som det står i oppskriften.
