Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in British and American English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in American English, please click here.
1st row (= RS): Work until 5-6-6 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso, turn piece.
2nd row (= WS): Work until 5-6-6 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to P, P 1, psso, turn piece.
3rd row (= RS): Work until 4-5-5 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to K, K 1, psso, turn piece.
4th row (= WS): Work until 4-5-5 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to P, P 1, psso, turn piece.
Continue dec like this with 1 less st before every dec until 10-10-12 sts remain on needle.

Worked in the round on double pointed needles from mid back. Cast on 44-48-52 sts on double pointed needles size 4 mm with 1 thread off white and 1 thread sandy dust. K 2 rounds. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Then work rib K 2/P 2 until piece measures 6 cm. Insert a marker in 1st st on round (= mid back). Continue in stocking st. Then dec in the different sizes as follows:
Size 35/37: When piece measures 11 cm, dec 1 st on each side of st with marker.
Size 38/40: When piece measures 9 and 16 cm, dec 1 st on each side of st with marker. Size 41/43: When piece measures 10 and 17 cm, dec 1 st on each side of st with marker = 42-44-48 sts. Work until piece measures 24-25-26 cm. Now keep the first 9-10-11 sts on needle, slip the next 24-24-26 sts on a stitch holder (= mid upper foot) and keep the last 9-10-11 sts on needle = 18-20-22 sts for heel. Work in stocking st back and forth over heel sts for 5-5½-6 cm. Insert a marker and measure the piece from here. Now dec for heel - see HEEL DECREASE! After heel dec, knit up 10-11-11 sts along each side of heel and slip the 24-24-26 sts from stitch holder back on needle = 54-56-60 sts. Insert a marker on each side of the middle 24-24-26 sts from stitch holder. Then work in stocking st while at the same time dec in each side on every other round a total of 8-8-8 times as follows: K the last 2 sts before sts on upper foot twisted tog (i.e. in back loop of st instead of front), K the first 2 sts after sts on upper foot tog = 38-40-44 sts. Work until piece measures 18-20-22 cm from marker on heel (= approx. 4-4-5 cm remain). Insert a marker in each side so that there are 19-20-22 sts on upper foot and 19-20-22 sts under foot.
Now dec for toe on each side of both markers: Dec as follows 3 sts before marker: K 2 tog, K1. Dec as follows after marker: K1, K 2 twisted tog. Continue dec in each side on every other round a total of 5-5-6 times and then on every round a total of 2-2-2 times = 10-12-12 sts remain on needle. On next round work all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the thread and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten.

Dank voor uw reactie. Ik bestel altijd online, dus kleuren vergelijken is lastig. Kan ik ook breien met twee draden 821?

DROPS Design 05.04.2012 kl. 08:52:

Ja, dat kan!

Martine 28.03.2012 - 09:45:
