How to pick up a knitted stitch

If you are working knit stitch from right side and have dropped a stitch! Do not despair, we`ll show you how to pick the dropped stitch up and continue knitting without it showing.

Fig. 1: You have dropped a knit stitch in the middle of your knitting.

Fig. 2: The stitch has dropped a row down. Catch the stitch with the right needle. This stitch will now be worked from right side with the strand that is behind the stitch. Catch the strand with the right needle.

Fig. 3: Insert your left needle into the stitch you pick up.

Fig. 4: Lift the dropped stitch over the strand.

Fig. 5: You now have the dropped stitch on you`r right needle.

Fig. 6: Move the stitch over to the left needle.

Fig. 7: Now you can continue knitting as before.
