PATTERN:
See diagram M.1. Work pattern as follows: Crochet M.1A, repeat M.1B until 5 ch remain, finish with M.1C on the last 5 ch.

SHAWL:
In order to make pattern identical on both sides when shawl is worn, first crochet one half from mid back towards the side, then crochet the other half from cast on row towards the other side. REMEMBER CROCHET GAUGE!
Crochet 72 LOOSE ch with hook size 5 mm / H/8 and 1 thread Alpaca and 2 threads Kid-Silk (= 3 threads) and continue as follows – see also Diagram M.1.
ROW 1: Crochet 1 sc in 4th ch from hook, * ch 3, 1 sc in next ch *, repeat from *-* a total of 3 times, * ch 4, skip 4 ch, 1 sc in next ch, ch 3, 1 sc in next ch, ch 3, 1 sc in next ch, ch 3, 1 sc in next ch *, repeat from *-* a total of 8 times and finish with ch 1 and 1 sl st in last ch, turn piece.
ROW 2: ch 8, * 4 tr in ch-loop with 4 ch, ch 4 *, repeat from *-* a total of 8 times and finish with 1 tr in first ch-loop from beg of previous row, turn piece.
ROW 3: ch 3, 1 sc in first ch, * ch 4, 1 sc in first tr, ch 3, 1 sc in 2nd tr, ch 3, 1 sc in 3rd tr, ch 3, 1 sc in 4th tr *, repeat from *-* a total of 8 times and finish with ch 4, skip 4 ch, 1 sc in 5th ch, turn piece.
ROW 4: ch 4 (= 1 tr), 3 tr in first ch-loop with 4 ch, * ch 4, 4 tr in next ch-loop with 4 ch *, repeat from *-* a total of 7 times and finish with ch 4, 3 tr in ch-loop with 4 ch, skip sc and crochet 1 tr in ch-loop from beg of previous row, turn piece.
ROW 5: ch 3, 1 sc in first tr, ch 3, 1 sc in 2nd tr, ch 3, 1 sc in 3rd tr, ch 3, 1 sc in 4th tr, * ch 4, 1 sc in first tr, ch 3, 1 sc in 2nd tr, ch 3, 1 sc in 3rd tr, ch 3, 1 sc in 4th tr *, repeat from *-* a total of 7 times, ch 4, 1 sc in first tr, ch 3, 1 sc in 2nd tr, ch 3, 1 sc in 3rd tr, ch 3, 1 sc in 4th ch from beg of previous row, turn piece.
Repeat row 2 to 5. Finish when piece measures approx 75 cm / 29½'' – adjust to a full repeat, i.e. after row 5 in pattern.
Now crochet from cast on row towards the other side as follow, beg in the right hand corner:
ROW 1: 1 sc in first ch, ch 1, 1 sc in the next 4 ch, * ch 4, skip 4 ch, 1 sc in the next 4 ch *, repeat from *-* a total of 8 times and finish with ch 1 and 1 sc in last st, turn piece.
NEXT ROW: ch 3, skip first sc, 1 sc in next sc, * ch 3, 1 sc in next st *, repeat from *-* a total of 2 times, 1 sc in last sc, * ch 4, skip ch-loop with 4 ch, 1 sc in next sc, ch 3, 1 sc in next sc, ch 3, 1 sc in next sc, ch 3, 1 sc in next sc *, repeat from *-* a total of 8 times and finish with ch 1 and 1 sl st in last st, turn piece.
Now repeat row 2 to 5 as before. Finish when piece measures approx 75 cm / 29½'' – adjust to the other side. The shawl measures a total of approx 150 cm / 59''.
BORDER:
Crochet a border along both long sides with hook size 5 mm / H/8 and 1 thread Alpaca and 2 threads Kid-Silk (3 threads) as follows:
ROW 1: 1 sc in first st, ch 1, skip 1 st, 4 sc in next tr/4-ch, * ch 4, skip 4 ch/1 tr, 4 sc in next tr/4 ch *, repeat from *-* and finish with ch 1 and 1 sc in last st, turn piece.
ROW 2: ch 3, skip 1 sc, 1 sc in next sc, ch 3, 1 sc in next sc, ch 3, 1 sc in next sc, ch 3, 1 sc in next sc, * ch 4, skip 4 ch, 1 sc in next ch, ch 3, 1 sc in next ch, ch 3, 1 sc in next ch, ch 3, 1 sc in next ch *, repeat from *-* and finish with ch 1 and 1 sl st in last sc, cut and fasten thread.

Habe heute gelesen, wie und woher "Kid Mohair" herkommt und unter welchen furchtbaren Umständen die armen kleinen Tiere geschoren oder gezupft werden. Viele der kleinen 6 Monate alten Ziegen sterben später an Unterkühlung und durch die grobe Behandlung. Aus welchen Regionen beziehen Sie - als grosse renommierte Firma Ihre Wolle? Was machen Sie für den Tierschutz? Ich würde lieber eine Alternative zur Mohairwolle kaufen. MfG
