GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows.

Row 1: * K1, P1 *, repeat from *-*.
Row 2: K over P and P over K. Repeat row 2.

Make buttonholes on right front band. 1 buttonhole = K tog 2nd and 3rd st from mid front and make 1 YO.
Make buttonholes when piece measures:
SIZE 1/3 MONTHS: 11, 16 and 21 cm
SIZE 6/9 MONTHS: 13, 18 and 23 cm
SIZE 12/18 MONTHS: 16, 21 and 26 cm
SIZE 2 YEARS: 15, 21 and 27 cm
SIZE 3/4 YEARS: 18, 24 and 30 cm.
JACKET: Beg with front pieces, cast on for sleeves, and work back piece from shoulders down.

RIGHT FRONT PIECE: Worked back and forth on circular needle.
Cast on 36-39-42 (45-48) sts (includes 1 edge st at side and 12 front band sts towards mid front) on needle size 4.5 mm with Merino Extra Fine. Work 4 rows garter st – SEE ABOVE. Work next row as follows from mid front: 12 front band sts in moss st, 23-26-29 (32-35) stocking sts and 1 edge st in garter st.
When piece measures 5 cm dec 1 st at the side and repeat the dec on every 2-2.5-3 (3-3.5) cm a total of 5 times = 31-34-37 (40-43) sts.
Remember buttonhole on front band – SEE ABOVE. When piece measures 16-17-19 (20-22) cm cast on sts for sleeve, at the end of every row towards the side: 4 sts 1-1-2 (1-2) times, 6 sts 1-1-1 (1-1) times, 8 sts 1-1-1 (2-2) times and 17-19-19 (23-26) sts 1 time = 66-71-78 (89-99) sts. Continue in stocking st with 12 moss sts on front band and 10 moss sts at bottom of sleeve. When piece measures 22-24-27 (28-31) cm slip the first 9-10-11 (12-12) sts towards mid front on a stitch holder for neck. Cast off to shape the neckline at the beg of every row from neckline: 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 3 times = 52-56-62 (72-82) sts left on shoulder/sleeve. When piece measures 26-28-31 (33-36) cm insert a marker in piece (= mid shoulder). NOW MEASURE PIECE FROM HERE. Continue for 1 cm and put piece aside.

LEFT FRONT PIECE: Cast on and work like right front piece, but mirrored. Do not make buttonholes!

BACK PIECE: Work sts from left front piece back on needle, cast on 16-18-20 (22-22) new sts (= back neckline) and work sts from right front piece back on needle = 120-130-144 (166-186) sts. Continue in stocking st with 10 moss sts each side (= sleeve edges). When piece measures 7.5-8.5-8.5 (9.5-10) cm cast off sleeve sts at the beg of every row each side as follows: 17-19-19 (23-26) sts 1 time, 8 sts 1-1-1 (2-2) times, 6 sts 1-1-1 (1-1) time and 4 sts 1-1-2 (1-2) times = 50-56-62 (68-74) sts left on row. Continue in stocking st with 1 edge st in garter st each side. When piece measures 13-13-14 (16-17) cm inc 1 st each side on every 2-2.5-3 (3-3.5) cm a total of 5 times = 60-66-72 (78-84) sts. When piece measures 25-27-30 (32-35) cm work 4 rows garter st on all sts and cast off.

NECKLINE: Pick up approx 46 to 66 sts round neckline (incl sts on stitch holder at front) on needle size 4.5 mm and work 3 rows garter st back and forth on needle, cast off.

ASSEMBLY: Sew sleeve and side seams inside 1 edge st. Sew on buttons to fit buttonholes. Fold sleeve edges towards RS if needed.
Foot length: 10-11-12 (14-16) cm

SOCK: Worked in the round on double pointed needles.
Cast on 40-44-48-(48-52) sts on double pointed needles size 3 mm with Merino Extra Fine. K 1 round and continue in rib, K2/P2, for 6-7-7 (8-8) cm. K 1 round, AT THE SAME TIME dec 6 sts evenly on round = 34-38-42 (42-46) sts.
Now keep the first 10-10-12 (12-14) sts on needle (= upper foot) and slip the remaining 24-28-30 (30-32) sts on a stitch holder. Work 3-3.5-4 (5-6) cm moss st – SEE ABOVE – on sts on upper foot. Now pick up 7-8-9 (12-14) sts on each side of upper foot and slip sts from stitch holder back on needle = 48-54-60 (66-74) sts. Continue in moss st on all sts for 1.5-2-2.5 (3-3.5) cm, and then P 1 round. Cast off all sts except the 10-10-12 (12-14) sts mid front. Work 9-10-11 (13-14) cm moss st on these for sole and cast off. Sew sole to sock, edge to edge to avoid a chunky seam.

Kan jag sticka med garn Baby Marino efter mönster Drops Baby 18-10?

DROPS Design 18.07.2018 kl. 12:29:

Hei Maritha.

Claire Vaillancourt 18.01.2018 - 20:19:

At the end of the RT front piece instructions the " place a marker and measure from here "...is that for when doing the back

DROPS Design 19.01.2018 kl. 10:48:

Dear Mrs Vaillancourt, the next measurements will be done from this marker, this match the middle of shoulder, ie middle of piece between front and back piece. Happy knitting!

Carolina 23.06.2017 - 01:01:

Jill Spring 17.05.2017 - 22:11:

I've printed the pattern but there are no sleeve instructions!

DROPS Design 18.05.2017 kl. 08:45:

Dear Mrs Spring, the sts for sleeves are cast on the side of right front piece and on the side of left front piece and then cast off on each side on back piece. Happy knitting!

Suzanne 21.03.2017 - 18:34:

When working the BACK PIECE, do you measure from the Mid-shoulder marker that you placed while working the Right Front Piece OR from the back neckline where you cast on extra stitches. THANK YOU!

DROPS Design 22.03.2017 kl. 09:15:

Dear Suzanne, you will measure from the marker added on front piece, ie 1 cm before putting piece aside. Happy knitting!

Suzanne Kagen 14.03.2017 - 08:22:

"When piece measures 22-24-27 (28-31) cm [8¾”-9½”-10 4/8” (11”-12¼”)] slip the first 9-10-11 (12-12) sts towards mid front on a stitch holder for neck. Bind off to shape the neckline at the beg of every row from neckline..." Probably a silly question, but do I work those "first stitches towards the mid front" in moss stitch and THEN slip them onto a holder? Or do I cut the yarn and re-attach the yarn to "Bind off to shape the neckline"?

DROPS Design 14.03.2017 kl. 09:44:

Dear Mrs Kagen, you can work them first to avoid cutting the yarn. Happy knitting!

Marlene Amaral Vayens 26.12.2016 - 04:30:
