Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in British English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from cm to inches - click here. Garter st, back and forth on needle: K all rows

Garter st, in the round: K 1 round, P 1 round.

Pattern: See diagram M.1 and M.2.The diagram shows the pattern from the RS side.

Stripes: See M.3.

Back piece: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 120-139-139-158-177-177 sts on needle size 4 mm with white Muskat. Work 4 rows garter st and continue as follows from RS: 3 garter sts, M.1 on the next 114-133-133-152-171-171 sts, 3 garter sts = 108-125-125-142-159-159 sts. After 1 vertical repeat of M.1 work next row as follows from RS: 3 garter sts, M.2 on the next 102-119-119-136-153-153 sts, 3 garter sts. Continue in M.2 with 3 garter sts each side until piece measures 16 cm. Now work 1 row stocking st, at the same time adjust no of sts evenly to 104-114-122-132-144-156 (includes 1 edge st each side). Remember the knitting tension! Continue in stocking st and stripes after M.3. At the same time when piece measures 18 cm dec 1 st each side on every 2.5-2.5-2.5-3-3-3 cm a total of 10 times = 84-94-102-112-124-136 sts. When piece measures 46-47-48-49-50-51 cm cast off for armhole each side on every other row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1-2-3-5-7-9 times and 1 st 2-4-5-5-6-7 times = 70-72-74-76-78-80 sts. When piece measures 57-59-61-62-64-66 cm cast off the middle 26-28-30-32-34-36 sts for neck and complete each side separately. Dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 2 sts 1 time and 1 st 7 times = 13 sts left on each shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 64-66-68-70-72-74 cm.

Front piece: Cast on and work like back piece until piece measures 47-49-50-52-53-55 cm. Now slip the middle 16-18-20-22-24-26 sts on a thread for neck and complete each side separately. Continue to cast off for armhole at sides and at the same time dec to shape the neckline on every other row: 1 st 14 times = 13 sts left on each shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 64-66-68-70-72-74 cm.
Assembly: Sew shoulder seams. Sew side seams inside 1 edge st, but leave 16 cm for split each side at bottom edge. Pull the silk ribbon through row below the breast with a gap of approx 6 sts. Tie a bow mid front.

Neckline: Pick up 134-160 sts round neckline (includes sts on thread) on circular needle size 4 mm with white Muskat and work 6 rounds garter st, cast off.

Armholes: Pick up 78-98 sts round armhole on circular needle size 4 mm with white Muskat and work 6 rounds garter st, cast off.

Buongiorno, cosa significa "aggiustare il numero di maglie in modo uniforme"? Devo fare delle diminuzioni a intervalli regolari per portare il numero di maglie a quello indicato?lo faccio lavorando insieme 2 maglie o in altro modo? Grazie

Buongiorno Caterina, è corretto come dice lei, deve fare delle diminuzioni regolari sul f per portare il n° di m a quello indicato. Può diminuire lavorando semplicemente 2 m insieme. Buon lavoro!!
