Garter st, in the round: K 1 round, P 1 round.

Garter st, back and forth on needle: K all rows.

Stripes: See diagram M.1. The diagram shows the pattern from the RS side.

Tunic: Worked in the round. Cast on 162-176-188-196-226-246 sts on circular needle size 5 mm with white. Insert 1 Marking Thread (MT) at beg of round and 1 MT after 81-88-94-98-113-123 sts (to mark the sides). K 1 round and then work 4 rounds garter st – see above. Now continue in stocking st and stripes after M.1. When piece measures 7 cm dec 1 st on each side of both MT (= 4 dec per round) on every 4 cm a total of 8 times = 130-144-156-164-194-214 sts. When piece measures 38 cm inc 2-6-6-16-10-14 sts evenly on round = 132-150-162-180-204-228 sts (stripe pattern is now complete). Change to circular needle size 4 mm and continue in Rib, K2/P4, and white. When Rib measures 10-12-14-16-18-20 cm work 4 rounds garter st and cast off. Piece measures 49-51-53-55-57-59 cm.

Braces: Worked back and forth on needle. Cast on 12 sts on needle size 4 mm with white. Work first row as follows from RS: 2 garter sts, K2, P4, K2, 2 garter sts. Continue like this until piece measures approx 36-38-40-42-44-46 cm. Now make 2 buttonholes as follows: 2 garter sts, K2 tog, 1 YO, P4, 1 YO, K2 tog into back of loop, 2 garter sts. Work 2 rows with K over K and P over P and cast off. Make two.

Assembly: Sew braces to back piece with approx 22-26-28-30-32-36 cm between them. Sew buttons to front piece.

Hallo! Was, bitte bedeutet „2 verschränkt re. zusammen du 2 M. Krausrippe”?

Sara 12.03.2017 - 17:48:

For the S size: just 50 g (not 100 g) of Paris petrol and 300 g (not 450 g!) of Paris white were necessary. The measures for the tunic are perfect. The straps need to be 18 cm apart (not 22) (internal edge) both at the back and front. The best way to attach the straps is to make the correct number of sts for each strap with the crochet on the bound off brim of the tunic, so that you don't have to make any sewing in this model (apart from the buttons).

Grazie.

DROPS Design 27.02.2017 kl. 10:18:

Buongiorno Sara. Buon lavoro!

Ms Miller 04.03.2016 - 04:30:

Hello I want to make the Goodbye Sailor vest/tank top; however, could you please confirm the sizing since there is a difference between the top of the written pattern size and the schematic bust measurements (last page). My bust is 37.5" Thanks

DROPS Design 04.03.2016 kl. 10:48:

Dear Mrs Miller, the measurement chart shows all measurements taken flat from side to side, in cm, ie 70 cm around (= 35x2) / 27½" (= 13"3/4) - read more here. Happy knitting!

Bettina 15.07.2013 - 12:02:

Was stimmt denn nun ?? Bitte überprüft das mal.

DROPS Design 15.07.2013 kl. 16:18:

Liebe Bettina, genau, es wird abgenommen. Danke für den Hinweis.

DROPS Design 10.11.2008 - 16:31:

We are publishing a measure chart with each design. There you see the actual garments finished measures. So to figure out which size to make, the best is to measure a garment you already have and like the size of and then compare with the chart. The measures in the chart is in cm and measured from side to side.

Yuliana 10.11.2008 - 07:35:

Hi, I would like to try your pattern for the first time. my bust measurement in round is 81 inch. usually I will be in Small or Medium size but when I matched it with your measurement I was in category Large. Or I did measurement wrongly? I don't want end-up knit a very large dress which I can't wear. You measurement (in cm) as described at your chart is only for one side measurement, am I right? Thank you for explanation and looking forward your reply
