Front piece: Cast on 40-40-44 (48-52-52) sts (incl 1 edge st each side) on needle size 7mm with Highlander. Knit Rib with 1 edge st and P2 each side (seen from the right side. When Rib measures 4-4-4 (5-5-5) cm change to needle size 8mm and continue in stocking sts, but knit the middle 14-14-14 (14-18-18) sts in reverse stocking sts until finished measurements. Remember your knitting tension! When piece measures 25-27-29 (31-32-33) cm cast off for armhole each side on every other row as follows: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 0-0-0 (1-2-2) times and 1 st 2-2-3 (2-2-2) times = 30-32-32 (34-34-36) sts. When piece measures 35-38-41 (43-44-46) cm cast off the middle 4-6-6 (8-8-10) sts for neck. Now dec to shape the neckline on every other row as follows: 2 sts 1 times and 1 st 2 times = 9 sts left on each shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 40-43-46 (49-51-53) cm.
Back piece: Cast on and knit as front piece, but begin and finish the Rib with 1 edge st and K2 (seen from the right side). Continue in stocking sts over all sts until finished measurements. Inc in size 5/6 and 13/14 as for front piece. Cast off for armhole as described for front piece and continue until piece measures 38-41-44 (47-49-51) cm. Now cast off the middle 10-12-12 (14-16-16) sts for neck. On next row dec 1 st on neckline = 9 sts left on each shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 40-43-46 (49-51-53) cm.
Sleeves: Cast on 22-22-22 (26-26-26) sts (incl 1 edge st each side) on needle size 7mm with Highlander and knit 4-4-4 (5-5-5) Rib with 1 edge st each side in garter sts. Change to needle size 8mm and continue in stocking sts. At the same time when sleeve measures 6 cm inc 1 st each side on every 6-5.5-5 (7-6-6) cm a total of 4-5-6 (5-6-7) times = 33-32-34 (36-38-40) sts. When sleeve measures 26-30-33 (36-39-44) cm, dec for sleeve cap each side on every other row as follows: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time, 1 st 1-1-1 (2-4-4) times and 2 sts each side until sleeve measures 31-35-39 (43-48-53) cm. HAT:

Stripes: Knit stripes as follows: 20 cm dark brown Alaska, 7 cm Highlander, 5 cm brown Alaska, 3 cm dark brown Alaska, 3 cm Highlander, 10 cm grey-blue Alaska, 5 cm brown Alaska, 5 cm Highlander and finish the hat in grey-blue Alaska.

Loosely cast on 99-108-117 sts on double pointed needles size 5.5mm with 2 threads of dark brown Alaska. Remove 1 thread and knit stripes as described above. Remember your knitting tension. At the same time when the hat measures 27-28-29 cm insert 9 marking threads with 11-12-13 sts between each thread. Dec 1 st on the right side of all marking threads by knitting tog 2 sts. Repeat the dec on every 6th round a total of 5 times = 54-63-72 sts. Now dec 5 sts evenly on round on every 6th round until there are 14-18-22 sts left. Knit 5 rounds and now knit all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut the thread and pull it through remaining sts. Sew tightly. The hat measures approx 66-70-74 cm.

Hoi Jantine.
