Pattern instructions

NOTE: This pattern is written in American English. All measurements in charts are in cm. For conversion from inches to cm - click here. There are different terms for crocheting in American and British English. If this pattern includes crochet, click for "crochet terms" here. For this pattern in British English, please click here.
Gauge: 7 sts in garter st = 10 cm in width.

Double strand - tips: When changing to a new ball of yarn, do not change both balls at the same time, to avoid having to tuck in both ends at the same place.

Decreasing tip: Dec 1 st right side rows by K 2 tog.

Hat: Cast on 36 sts with 3 strands yarn. Take away 1 strand and knit garter st with double strands. When the piece measures 11 cm dec 5 sts evenly distributed on the row = 31 sts. When the piece measures 15 cm dec 5 sts evenly distributed on the row = 26 sts. When the piece measures 19 cm dec 4 sts evenly distributed on the row = 22 sts. When the piece measures 25 cm bind off all sts. Sew hat at center back. Lay hat flat and sew top, with back seam at center.

No entiendo la explicación de empezar con tres hebras, me lo podría explicar mejor? tal vez signifique que necesito empezar con tres ovillos?. gracias por su atención

Hola Pilar. Para que pueda contastar las preguntas de manera más inmediata te recomiendo que marques la casilla de pregunta en lugar de la de comentario. En este modelo se comienza con 3 hilos para obtener un borde más elástico. No es necesario usar los 3 ovillos, se puede trabajar cogiendo el extremo interior y exterior de un mismo ovillo.
