Hej Lena.

Set consists of: Knitted DROPS hat in garter st and scarf in garter st worked sideways with flounce in "Fabel".
DROPS 165-25 |
|
HAT: GARTER ST (worked in the round): * K 1 round and P 1 round *, repeat from *-*. 1 ridge = 2 rounds. STRIPES: * 2 ridges with heather, 1 ridge with purple *, repeat from *-* until finished measurements. DECREASE TIP: Always dec on round with K. Dec 1 st by K 2 sts tog. ---------------------------------------------------------- HAT: Worked in the round on circular needle, switch to double pointed needles when needed. Cast on 112-116-120 sts on circular needle size 3 mm with purple and work in GARTER ST - see explanation above, for 5 cm. Then work STRIPES - see explanation above. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION When piece measures 14-16-18 cm, dec 10-10-12 sts evenly - READ DECREASE TIP = 102-106-108 sts. Repeat dec when piece measures 18-20-22 cm = 92-96-96 sts. When piece measures 20-22-24 cm, dec 16-18-18 sts evenly = 76-78-78 sts. Repeat dec when piece measures 21-23-25 and 22-24-26 cm = 44-42-42 sts. When piece measures 23-25-27 cm, K all sts tog 2 by 2. Work 1 ridge. On next round K all sts tog 2 by 2 = 11 sts on needle. Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining sts, tighten tog and fasten. ---------------------------------------------------------- SCARF: FAN: ROW 1 (= WS): K 32, turn piece. ROW 2 (= RS): Slip first st as if to K, tighten yarn and K 31, turn piece. ROW 3 (= WS): K 30, turn piece. ROW 4 (= RS): Slip first st as if to K, tighten yarn and K 29, turn piece. ROW 5 (= WS): K 28, turn piece. ROW 6 (= RS): Slip first st as if to K, tighten yarn and K 27, turn piece. Continue back and forth like this by working 2 sts less for every time until only the first 2 sts have been worked time back and forth. ---------------------------------------------------------- SCARF: Work the piece sideways. The piece is worked back and forth on circular needle because of no of sts. Cast on 300 sts on circular needle size 5 mm with heather. Insert 1 marker 32 sts in from each side, and work as follows: ROW 1 (= RS - work with heather): K all sts. ROW 2 (= WS): K all sts. ROW 3 (= RS): K all sts. ROW 4 (= WS): K all sts. ROW 5 (= RS): K all sts. ROW 6 (= WS): K 3, P until 3 sts remain on row, finish with K 3. ROW 7 (= RS): Switch to purple and K all sts. ROW 8 (= WS): Work FAN - see explanation above - back and forth over sts before marker. When fan is done (after 32 rows in total), K back over all sts – NOTE: To avoid holes in transitions between turns on fan, slip yarn between turn twisted back on needle and K tog with the st that comes after on left needle. Turn piece and work fan back and forth over st before marker in the other side. There is 1 fan in each side of scarf. The fan is done, continue as follows: - REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION ROW 9 (= RS): Switch to heather and K all sts. ROW 10 (= WS): K 3, P until 3 sts remain on row, finish with K 3. ROW 11 (= RS): K all sts. ROW 12 (= WS): K all sts. ROW 13 (= RS): K all sts. ROW 14 (= WS): K all sts. ROW 15 (= RS): Switch to purple and K all sts. ROW 16 (= WS): K all sts. Repeat rows 1-16 until piece measures approx. 30 cm - NOTE: Finish after 13th row in repetition so that scarf beg and end the same in each side. Then loosely cast off with K from WS - NOTE: Make 1 YO after approx. every 5th st while casting off (cast off YOs as sts) to make the cast-off edge more elastic. |
