Buongiorno Mariangela.

Knitted DROPS poncho in stocking st in Vienna or Melody. Size: S to XXXL.
DROPS 132-21 |
|
GARTER ST (back and forth on circular needle): K all rows. -------------------------------------------------------- BACK PIECE: Worked back and forth on circular needle to make room for all the sts. Back piece is worked 6 cm longer than the front piece in all sizes. Cast on 98-100-104-106-110-114 sts on circular needle size 7 mm with Vienna or Melody. Work 4 rows in GARTER ST - see explanation above - and then continue in stocking st with 3 sts in garter st each side. When piece measures 79-81-83-85-87-89 cm, cast off the middle 18-18-20-20-22-22 sts for neckline and finish each shoulder separately. On next row cast off 1 st towards the neckline = 39-40-41-42-43-45 sts remain for shoulder. Cast off when piece measures 81-83-85-87-89-91 cm. FRONT PIECE: Cast on and work as back piece until piece measures 41-43-45-45-47-49 cm, finish with P 1 row from WS. Now divide the piece and finish each part separately as follows: cut the thread and slip the first 39-40-41-42-43-45 sts on a stitch holder, 59-60-63-64-67-69 sts remain on needle. Now work 2 sts in each of the first 20-20-22-22-24-24 sts on needle (these sts make up the collar), work the remaining sts in stocking sts with 3 sts in garter st at the edge, 79-80-85-86-91-93 sts on needle. On next row (= WS) work 3 sts in garter st, then P the next 36-37-38-39-40-42 sts, continue with rib K 1, P 1 over the remaining 40-40-44-44-48-48 sts, beg with K 1. Continue like this until piece measures 75-77-79-81-83-85 cm, finish with 1 row from RS. On next row cast off the first 39-40-41-42-43-45 sts, work the rest of row, 40-40-44-44-48-48 sts remain for collar. Continue to work with short rows for collar over the remaining sts as follows: (1st row = RS) * Work rib 1 time back and forth over the 20-20-22-22-24-24 sts towards mid front, work rib 1 time back and forth over all sts *, repeat from *-* until collar measures approx. 7½-7½-8½-8½-9-9 cm (measured on the shortest side) from where the shoulder was cast off. Cast off. Now the first part is finished. Second part: Beg from RS. Slip the sts on the stitch holder back on needle and knit up 1 st in every collar st from the back of right front piece = 79-80-85-86-91-93 sts on needle On next row (= WS) work rib P 1, K 1 over the first 40-40-44-44-48-48 sts, beg with P 1. Then work the next 36-37-38-39-40-42 sts in stocking st (P from WS, K from RS) and finish with 3 sts in garter st. Continue like this until piece measures 75-77-79-81-83-85 cm, finish with 1 row from WS. On next row cast off the first 39-40-41-42-43-45 sts, work the rest of row, 40-40-44-44-48-48 sts remain for collar. Continue to work with short rows for collar as follows: (1st row = WS) * Work rib 1 time back and forth over the 20-20-22-22-24-24 sts towards mid front, work rib 1 time back and forth over all sts *, repeat from *-* until collar measures approx. 7½-7½-8½-8½-9-9 cm (measured on the shortest side) from where the shoulder was cast off. Cast off. ASSEMBLY: Sew the shoulder seams. Sew the collar tog mid back and sew it to the neckline. |
