PATTERN: See diagram M.1 to M.4. The diagrams show the pattern from the RS. HEEL DECREASES: P 1 row from WS on heel sts. Continue in stocking st, AT THE SAME TIME slip 1 st at the end of every row on a stitch holder. Continue until there are 10-12-14 sts on stitch holders each side and 15-17-19 sts left on needle. Insert a marker in piece. Continue in stocking st, AT THE SAME TIME work 1 st from stitch holder back on needle at the end of every row. NOTE: to avoid a hole pick up 2 sts between sts on needle and sts on stitch holder. On next row work these 2 sts and st from stitch holder tog to 1. Continue like this until there are 35-41-47 sts on needle. Work 1 row stocking st on all sts. DECREASING TIP (applies to toe): Dec as follows before marker: K2 tog. Dec as follows after marker: K2 tog into back of loop. ---------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------------- SOCK: Worked in the round on double pointed needles. LOOSELY cast on 80-90-100 sts on double pointed needle size 2.5 mm with Fabel. K 1 round, P 1 round and work next round as follows: K7-8-9, * slip 1 st as if to K, K2 tog, psso, K13-15-17 *, repeat from *-* until 9-10-11 sts remain, slip 1 st as if to K, K2 tog, psso, K6-7-8 = 70-80-90 sts left on round. P 1 round. Insert a marker at beg of round. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! Continue in pattern as follows: SIZE 35/37: Work 2 vertical repeats of M.3, but the last time finish the repeat with b instead of a. Now work 1 vertical repeat of M.4. After M.4 there are 60 sts on round. SIZE 38/40: Work 2 vertical repeats of M.2, but the last time finish the repeat with b instead of a. Now work 1 vertical repeat of M.3. After M.3 there are 70 sts on round. SIZE 41/43: Work 2 vertical repeats of M.1, but the last time finish the repeat with b instead of a. Now work 1 vertical repeat of M.2. After M.2 there are 80 sts on round. ALLE SIZES: Piece now measures approx 12 cm. Slip the first 25-29-33 sts on a stitch holder (= mid upper foot) and keep the last 35-41-47 sts on needle for heel. Now dec for heel – SEE HEEL DECREASES! After heel decreases slip sts from stitch holder back on needle = 60-70-80 sts. Continue in pattern on all sts in the round as follows: SIZE 35/37: Continue in M.4. SIZE 38/40: Continue in M.3. SIZE 41/43: Continue in M.2. When piece measures 18-20-22 cm from marker on heel (= approx 4-4-5 cm remain), K 1 round on all sts, AT THE SAME TIME dec 10-12-14 sts evenly = 50-58-66 sts. Insert a marker each side with 25-29-33 sts on upper foot and 25-29-33 sts under foot. Continue in stocking st on all sts, AT THE SAME TIME dec for toes on each side of both markers – SEE DECREASING TIP – and repeat the dec on every other round 5-3-4 times and then on every round 4-8-9 times = 14 sts left. Cut the thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten. |
