Could you tell me how many balls of both yarns, are required for the Morning in Paris Tank top please, fir the size XL. Apologies but I could not find the answer in the pattern. Thank you very much.

Hi Lesley, The tank top is worked with Drops Paris yarn which is sold in 50 g balls. You therefore need 7 balls for your size. If you are working with 2 yarns from group A (= 1 yarn from group C), you will still need 750 g in total. For this you will need 4 balls of each quality (so you don't have too little yarn) . Regards, Drops Team.

Bon tricot!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- GARTER STITCH (worked in the round): Alternately knit 1 round and purl 1 round. 1 ridge vertically = 2 rounds. DECREASE TIP-1 (sides): All decreases are worked from the right side! Decrease 1 stitch on each side of the marker-thread as follows: Work until there are 3 stitches left before the marker-thread, knit 2 together, knit 2 (marker-thread sits between these 2 stitches), slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1 and pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (2 stitches decreased). Repeat the decreases at the second marker-thread. DECREASE TIP-2 (armholes): All decreases are worked from the right side: Decrease 1 stitch on each side as follows: Work the first 4 stitches, slip 1 stitch knit-wise, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (= 1 stitch decreased), work until there are 6 stitches left, knit 2 together (= 1 stitch decreased), work the last 4 stitches. INCREASE TIP (sides): Increase 1 stitch on each side of the marker-thread as follows: Work until there is 1 stitch left before the marker thread, make 1 yarn over, knit 2 (marker thread sits in the middle of these 2 stitches) make 1 yarn over (= 2 stitches increased). On the next row work the yarn overs twisted to avoid holes. Then work the new stitches in stocking stitch. 4 EDGE STITCHES: BEGINNING OF ROW: Slip 1 stitch purl-wise with strand in front, knit 3 END OF ROW: Work until there are 4 stitches left on the row, knit 2, slip 1 stitch purl-wise with strand in front, knit 1. Finish after a row from the wrong side. Place the stitches on a stitch holder and work the back piece. BACK PIECE: = 62-68-74-74-80-82 stitches. Work in the same way as the front piece, finishing after a row from the wrong side. Now work the neck. NECK: Change to circular needle size 3.5 mm. From the right side, knit the 30-34-38-38-42-42 stitches on the back piece, cast on 12-12-12-16-16-16 stitches (= strap), knit the 30-34-38-38-42-42 stitches from the front piece, cast on 12-12-12-16-16-16 stitches (= strap) = 84-92-100-108-116-116 stitches.
