Bon tricot!

Hi! How is the hole in the center go away? With 16 stitches joined in the round the hole is about 2cm in diameter. Thank you!

Dear Teri, you can make the hole in the center dissapear either by stitching around it, and pulling it colsed, or start with magic loop like THIS Happy Stitching!

How does it end up being flat when the pattern is knitted in the round ? I read through the instructions and couldn’t understand how knitting in the round with A 1,2,3and 4 all fitted together
31.03.2021 - 03:31DROPS Design answered:
Dear Liv, the piece will be flat because of the increases done in the apporopriate places and numbers. We have a turoeial on how to read diagrams here, and if you are stuck with a pattern, you can always ask for help (over the phone or in person) in the store, where you got your DROPS yarn from. Happy Knitting!

------------------------------------------------------- EXPLANATIONS FOR THE PATTERN: ------------------------------------------------------- PATTERN: See diagrams A.1 to A.4. ------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ------------------------------------------------------- BLANKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: The piece consists of 12 squares which are sewn together to finish. The squares are worked in the round, from the centre outwards, using double pointed needles. Change to circular needle when necessary. SQUARE: Cast on 16 stitches with Sky and divide between 4 double pointed needles size 4 mm (= 4 stitches per needle). Knit 3 rounds, then work according to A.1 (= 4 repeats on the round). When A.1 has been worked 1 time in height there are 152 stitches on the needle. Continue as follows: * A.2 (= 4 stitches), A.3 (= 26 stitches), A.4 (= 8 stitches) *, work from *-* a total of 4 times. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION! When A.2, A.3 and A.4 have been worked 1 time in height there are 280 stitches on the needle. Cast off. Pull together and close the hole in the middle of the square. ASSEMBLY: Sew the squares together, 3 in width x 4 in length. Sew in the outermost loop of the outermost stitch so the seam is flat. |
