STRIPES: * 2 rows with chocolate, 2 rows with wooden rose *, work from *-* until finished measurements. CHAIN STITCHES: If you work at the end of crochet hook the chain stitch will often be too tight 1 chain stitch should be just as long as 1 treble/double treble crochet is wide. ---------------------------------------------------------- START THE PIECE HERE: ---------------------------------------------------------- SHAWL - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE: Piece is worked back and forth, top down with stripes. SHAWL: Work 5 CHAIN STITCHES - read explanation above, on hook size 4 mm with chocolate and form a ring with 1 slip stitch in first chain stitch. Then work pattern A.1 back and forth in STRIPES - read explanation above. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! When entire A.1 has been worked vertically, repeat the last 2 rows in diagram and continue increase as before, i.e. every time 2 rows have been worked vertically there is room for 2 treble crochet groups (= 3 treble crochets + 1 chain stitch) more between increase mid front and in the side. Continue like this until shawl measures approx. 76 cm along increase in the middle of shawl - adjust to finish after a row that is next to last row in A.1 (i.e. with treble crochet groups).
